my edibles vary wildly every time i get them. some times the cherry ones make me forget what life is and the green ones just make me grumpy. then next time it's the yellow ones that let me relive 1978 in its entirety and the red ones just taste like dirt bubble gum

I keep wanting to post my motorcycle in here, as it's inconsequential and it's a triumph, but I don't want to ruin the thread with a needless pun...

HOWEVER, I did drill out three broken off bolts and that I felt like a very good triumph.

I am positive that the only reason why the law ended up getting passed in Alabama of all states is because my mother and I did a letter writing campaign to the state reps who were vocally against the bill.

We changed their minds and now I can get CBD gummies (though because my body is my body, I develop a tolerance for stuff pretty fast, I use 50mg gummies now)

Yeah they don't even make em that strong down here, 50mg are as tough as you get. And I would be hesitant to try a 150mg one considering how wildly each gummy tends to vacillate in effectiveness.

EDIT: My parents got me some CBD lollipops for Christmas that I really liked, because I could get to exactly the spot I wanted with my gummies and then coast on the lollipop but I have no idea where they got them from. I have the packaging for it but it has no contact info on it.

If I had to guess, a lack of regulation and federal standards mean that the process for making these things is a little slipshod without particular requirements on an individual gummy. The thing they care the most about is not crossing the particular line for CBDs in the gummies.

Honestly, the more I think about it the more the true credit goes to the patron. They clicked on the shit I told them to click on and didn't click on any of the shit I didn't tell them to click on, for possibly the first time in the history of over-the-shoulder computer instruction.

Told my dentist that I thought my abfractions* had worsened to a point that they needed to be addressed and he and the nearby dental hygienist were over the moon that I used the actual term for them. I mean! That's what they told me what they were!?

    * Abfraction: tooth distortions not caused by decay; in my case, I grind my teeth at night and before I had a night-guard a few teeth got badly warped from the pressure.

So like maybe once a month or two I’ll get a migraine. They usually start as a minor headache in the morning and advance till they are quite bad in the afternoon and usually dissipate after dinner, basically ruining a day.

Last time I had one I was at work and drank an energy drink, which seemed to help quicken the recovery. Since then I’ve kept a supply of energy drinks in my fridge at home solely as a nuclear option.

Today I started to feel one start. Took painkillers and slammed a whole rockstar then lay down in bed with the lights off and watched a Star Trek episode.

Got the migraine under control in just over and hour and now it is totally gone!

I'm extremely sad that my caffeine tolerance renders it an ineffective tool at abating migraines. But, also, I've gotten a lot fewer migraines in the past two years than any other two year period of my life, so I might just be outgrowing them as my brain shrinks.

Caffeine helps with migraines? Huh, I would have for some reason assumed it would be the opposite.

Only in pretty small doses and only if you do not have an addiction/tolerance is my understanding. So if you drink it all the time it will help with a migraine because not drinking it causes withdrawals causing migraines. If you never, or rarely like me, indulge in caffeine it is actually pretty effective and fast acting at getting rid of headaches and migraines.

You can get ibuprofen with caffeine added

  • HoukHouk Nipples The EchidnaRegistered User regular
Yeah many headaches (especially migraines) are due to increased blood flow/pressure, and caffeine restricts blood vessels so it can help alleviate that. but like mentioned, only if it's something your body hasn't already got a tolerance for. I get migraines once every couple of months and I always take a healthy dose of caffeine, it doesn't kill it completely but it definitely helps make it more manageable.

Yeah I don’t drink a lot of caffeine and a whole energy drink is a ton for me.
