[Nintendo Switch] THIS THREAD IS DEAD! POST IN THE NEW ONE!
My son is getting a Splatoon 3 switch to upgrade from his switch Lite. What’s the best way to do the transfer necessary to move all his games and game saves? Seems like there’s multiple ways to do this.

The last time I did this I transferred the user. It must have a Nintendo account linked to the user on the source Switch, and it cannot already exist on the target Switch. I used these instructions.

Honestly, the world being mirrored in the Wii version did bother me? It felt like something was off about the layouts of things the whole time. That was the only version I played, and I only found out they mirrored the whole game to make link right-handed afterwards, and suddenly that sensation felt like it made sense. I couldn't tell you how, but I could feel it was off, in my bones.
IIRC, the layout of the land is somewhat similar to Ocarina... at least, originally, it was. So flipping it...
Like Mega Man Legends? Then check out my story, Legends of the Halcyon Era - An Adventure in the World of Mega Man Legends on TMMN and AO3!

I feel like that's something that is pretty meaningless in moment to moment gameplay. Like, when you take the whole world map of OOT, and the whole world map of unflipped TP, things line up pretty well. But when I'm actually playing the game, I rarely think of the entire world map, let alone how it relates to the entire world map of another game in the series.

Here's my Zelda opinion: I think Twilight Princess gets way more shit than it deserves.
Agreed. In my opinion the single weakest part of it is the overworld. While the sky in Skyward Sword gets more complaints it is basically just a hub world while I can't even remember much worth even exploring in Hyrule Field aside from when you're required to visit a location or two after you have the Dominion Rod. And the spinner was basically useless outside of the dungeon you find it in.
Snowpeak Ruins might be my favorite dungeon in it.
I have a couple gameplay issues with it, mostly with I feel the game starting off very slow and the first couple dungeons being pretty underwhelming, but after that it really picks up and is pretty great. A lot of the items are also very "use this once and never touch it again except for like 2 overworld puzzles for heart pieces" too (spinner, ball & chain, dominion rod, etc). The later dungeons are all really good and the story is great throughout the whole thing though. And those items were all cool and fun, they just needed to do more with them IMO.
But yeah, Twilight Princess is great. It gets a lot of unnecessary hate. Kinda same with Skyward Sword. It has its problems (the sky is just boring and bad... also tadtones) but the story is amazing and a lot of the dungeons are super fun. I think it got a lot of hate for motion controls honestly. I hope the HD version at least changed some minds.

Kinda same? I'm glad HD used the correct world. The biggest thing was that a lot of locations matched up to OoT except once you flipped the world this was no longer true.
Well, the whole reason they flipped it in the first place was to match Link's sword and shield hands to the Wii Remote controls. So unless they went out of their way to put the unpopular Waggle™ controls back in, I don't think they'll include the flipped version.
Twilight Princess HD had the flipped version, but it was saved for Hero mode or Master mode or whatever they called it.

I still think it's dumb that they did that. And then didn't give me an option to switch it back, especially since their excuse was that they mirrored it for accessibility reasons.

Thanks! The instructions seemed overly complicated but we got it done!
Now we just have to spend several days redownloading all his software.
The Spaltoon 3 switch is pretty awesome--I'm still on a first-gen Switch so the OLED screen and new back hinge design is impressive. He's coming from a Switch Lite so the screen is a million times better.

There may even be something to be said for inscrutable, subconscious human desires for certain types of design language. Some layouts and patterns might just "feel" better to us, and we create and consume along those lines unconsciously. The golden ratio, Fibonacci and all that. To the point where if you flip the entire thing, it throws everything off.

So weird. Does anyone know why Forgotton Anne got delisted from the Nintendo Switch eShop? I knew I owned it somewhere but I could not find it, for the life of it. I found that I *did* own it, on Switch, via Regownload Games, but I could not find any other evidence that the game ever existed on Switch.

Square Enix announced on May 15, 2022 that the publishing rights to Forgotton Anne would be returned to the developer ThroughLine Games, as their publishing deal had come to an end.
The publishing rights are reverting to the IP owner of Forgotton Anne
The publishing rights of Forgotton Anne have now reverted to the IP owner. We would like to thank Throughline Games for being a part of Collective’s history and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors. While you are gone, you will never be forgotton.
Please note that Forgotton Anne will still be available to purchase on various platforms, but sadly not through us.
Jakub “Koobs” Klitenik, Square Enix Collective
Forgotton Anne was delisted on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 17, 2022, and on Nintendo Switch between May 26 and May 30, 2022. ThroughLine Games had confirmed to TrueAchievements that Forgotton Anne would be re-listed on the Xbox One, although they stated that the process could “take weeks”.
As of this writing the game remains available on Steam, GOG.com, Microsoft Store, and on consoles in Japan; the latter three versions being published by different companies.

I know smaller releases are likely to get ignored with a huge Nintendo title out, but was anyone else here interested in Justice Sucks? It's like some sort of Roomba-based murder simulator.

I'm very interested in it. The trailer gave me some real Good Job! (With More Murder) vibes and they have my attention.
The time where I'll bring my Switch OLED on a trip for the first time is coming up. Do you guys have a case you swear by? I have enough time to get one ordered, still.

They’re pricey but I always get the Waterfield Cityslicker cases for my portables.
that's an entirely separate game mode, right? Nothing for the main game?
I think you can redecorate the houses of your neighbors once you hit a certain milestone but please double check that.
You can redecorate the houses of your villagers, but I don't know if that's tied to the paid DLC or part of the free update.
I don’t have the dlc and I don’t have the ability to. Maybe I missed something?
Tom Nook chats to you about it once you unlock the option. So unless you never visit resident services for anything, I'm guessing it's part of the paid DLC then.
I will get the dlc eventually, I’m running out of goals as it is . The big one that’s in range is to buy the last storage upgrade , the other ones will take a bit like the last 2 bugs I’m missing , the artwork etc.
Also, my daughter really loved playing the first game, so I figured the sequel was an easy buy. Of course, the logical side of my brain says to wait for a post-launch sale since Ubisoft games often drop massively in price after a few months. This one might be different though, who knows?

You know
I prefer a drawn dong to having slurs yelled at me
I can't think of a way for me to draw a dong shouting slurs at you, that would actually be funny.
I think we all dodged a bullet there.
Evil Dead cross play has also been quite mild on the foul messages, someone sent me a message telling me to go back to fifa.
Motherfucker, I haven't played Fifa since the SNES!
