Oooo. Now I realize they are at a movie theater. I was reading it as some backstage area. But they had put a Doctor Strange poster over the the makeup mirror. I guess going to the movies makes a tad more sense.
It seems weird to me that they're going to the theater ticket window.
I can't remember the last time I did that instead of ordering tickets on line and having a QR code transmitted to my phone, safely bypassing human interaction in yet one more facet of life.

I remember. It was the most recent time I've been to a movie theater, where their stupid machines didn't work at all to pick up the tickets I'd paid for before leaving home.
Also movie theaters: literally the only place that will make you pay to preorder/ use the app instead of doing the opposite.
I mean I still do it, because I'm paranoid about not getting a seat, but still.
Yeah its insane to me the most convenient and easiest method for the theater is the one they charge more for. Its shit like that, that makes skipping theaters way easier.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
Gotta love the online convenience fee. I haven’t been to a movie theater in probably 3 years and I don’t miss them.
Re: the strip/newspost, it’s funny but also a bit of a gutpunch, having read webcomics basically since their inception, to think they're thought of as being from another era. But every wave has a crest, I guess. I hope PA keeps going as long as they still enjoy creating the strip. Hey, maybe we'll get a live-action Dogear movie out of it someday.
My method of waiting three or so weeks to see a movie never fails to ensure that I can get a seat in the theater. But, I could see how that wouldn't be a feasible solution for many who simply must see that new movie as soon as possible.
I may actually dare to try and see Dr. Strange this weekend, which ordinarily would be much too early for me, but I just finished spring semester and my summer semester class starts next week, so this coming weekend is the one where I can guarantee I won't have more pressing matters to attend to. Perhaps I'll bother to buy tickets beforehand this time.

I have to pay 50 cents for the privilege of paying my water bill online, and they won’t save my payment information, and will not do paperless billing, won’t even do an email reminder. I just login every few months kind of at random to see if I owe money.
I mean, I get it. I'm a programmer who has a lot of experience in IT. Setting up online billing and continuing to maintain it in perpetuity isn't free. But... it's not going away, folks. I suspect mail and checks will go away sooner.
I keep paying it manually online because the autopay option requires me to print out a paper authorization form and mail it in, which is frankly even more inconvenient

This is every casino in North America not on the Vegas Strip
Some of them are really good concert venues!

Nope. Our DMV also charges you to pay online instead of mailing in a check.
*sigh*
Edit: Fuck 'em.

I miss the Hail Hydra react. You are correct but I cannot Agree, and this is not Awesome.
There, I solved your quandry.
