A "hate crime" is a crime that's already a crime that you did because of hate for a specific group. Doesn't really make much sense to say a non-crime directed at someone personally and not because they are part of some specific group should be a hate crime.

What you're really saying (probably unintentionally) is you'd just rather criticism be a crime.

Yeah, it's really not what I'm after. I want to hear the process. One of my favorite things in DLC was hearing them arrive at some novel turn of phrase.
