To my old anime fandom friend, may you rest in peace James Kaposztas. Know as "Jim" to his friends, he created the first anime themed music video using nothing but second hand VHS footage. #anime #fandom #AMV
Beloved by friends, Jim played a key role in supporting early anime fandom events in NYC and Philly, was an early cosplayer who dressed as Captain Avatar from Star Blazers, and would later be involved with Otakon.

This had actually led me to consider buying one of those as a gift a little while back which led me to an incredibly dumb petty nerd complaint which I will put in spoilers to spare everyone
They call these 'Viking wood splitter sword' and all the marketing is like 'Unleash you inner viking! Split wood like a viking!'
Vikings used axes! It's like the biggest thing associated with vikings it's not even a obscure fact it's like, up there with the dumb horn helmets except actually accurate! Splitting wood with an axe is arguably much more viking!
If the internet people selling huge hilarious wood splitting swords say that a huge hilarious wood splitting sword is better and safer than a crude disgusting axe such as a primitive hominid might wield who am I or you to doubt them
"God damn we've lost so much since the halcyon days when I would run down a family of five on the way home from the bar after a mere ten to forty beers. Used to be legal to stick a sword out your window and see if you could lop a few heads off during the commute. Now look at us."

Yeah I just assumed that this was one of those "haha look how dumb we used to be" type things, but it looks like the OP either believes this himself, or is at least trying to cultivate that kind of audience. Browsing through their account, it's so ridiculous and nonsensical it's hard to tell how serious they are about the whole thing. "Conservative shit-poster who kind of gets it but is still a shithead" seems the most likely to me.

Canadian wood splitting lady is great, especially when she takes shots of maple syrup here and there.

The most common injury when splitting wood is missing or glancing off the log and hitting your legs on the follow through.
The sword is supposedly long enough to make that impossible. If you use the same overhead cutting action, the sword will hit the ground before it hits you. Bouncing or glancing or some other mistake also shouldn't send it in a weird enough trajectory to hit you.
Anyway it's all academic because the safest way to split wood is actually with this https://youtu.be/f0mjUTj3wh4

Been watching videos about miniature terrain building recently. This stuff is so cool.

Here's the first one, which was originally set to All You Need Is Love but the video is muted due to copyright so you have to sync the music yourself:

Edit: Didn't seem to embed. Video features a Canadian woman with elf ears chopping wood.

Just erase /shorts
No need to add the rest
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
Then you get a URL that looks like https://www.youtube.com/4zLheBUSm0Q and that doesn't work.
EDIT: Apparently it does work for embeds, but it does not work for navigating to in the web browser. I guess it's not entirely consistent.

Yes, but without the brackets, which means this is actually an entirely new title.

I want some curry now
It seems like a sword would have a better chance of hitting at an awkward angle and bouncing back into your leg or something.
Oh my god
They actually claim it's safer because of the weight or length or something and I don't split enough wood or swing enough swords to argue
The best way I know to split wood is with wedges and a big hammer
Second best is probably a maul, I think it's called, basically a giant wedge on a handle
Third best is an axe
Good god every single reply is legitimately like

A shame this man lived and died before Demon. He could have used a jizz knife to get himself free, if only the inspiration had been there for him.

Don't just pull at it.
Give it a wiggle, folks.
