Some one should meet me for lunch some time (DC Area)

I was just thinking, I work smack dab next to the Silver Spring metro station on the Red line, and some one should TOTALLY meet me for lunch some time. Not today, of course; it's short notice and I'm brown baggin' it anyways, but I know we have some DC area forumers, so who's game?

I'm in southern MD, but I'd be down for some weekend sat or sun sometime.

    I only work weekdays.

I mean, if you want to hang when you're in the area, that's totally cool, just let me know when.

I think meeting up with a forumer during lunch on a work day would be a great way to break up the usual workday monotony, though.

You should hop on a train to ATL.

    I'll take you to Dreamland.

Lunch the shit out of you.

I would be down sometime in the future. My work place is at the King Street stop on the Yellow Line. It would be an extended lunch for me, but hey, thats a-ok. I really do need to make my work day more exciting and not soul-crushingly boring. You got any good places in mind?

Why don't I just drive down?

Then you could take me to funky town,

    And turn my frown upside-down.

I hadn't picked anywhere. There's a few quicker spots nearby, such as Panera, Chipotle, Noodles & Co., Potbelly, etc. On the slower end there's also a decent Mexican place called Mia Rancho.

I usually carpool with my father (he works in the same building) but when he's out of town, as he often is, I steal his parking pass, so ifthe right day is picked, it could theoretically be possible to even drive somewhere specific (there's a California Tortilla a little bit up route 29, etc.)

I am open to suggestion. We could even have ice cream lunch at Ben & Jerry's

Edit: There are other things as well, so if you, or some one else, has a prefference for a type of food, let me know, and I'll look for it. They keep building up this area, and it's hard to keep track of what all is here. Plus there's the old stuff that's been around forever, like the Indian restaurant, which is called "Bombay Gaylord", or something similar.

This is not a bad plan.

Some random Saturday or Sunday where we can find a place for lunch and beverages of the adult variety.

Dude, there needs to be some kind of a send-off party.

After all of the parties that Dustin has thrown for the forums, it is a neccesity.

Fuck it, I'm making a seperate thread for the planning of that. I don't want to take over my lunch meeting thread.

@Deacon: I was prettybad, but Henroid was worse, and maybe DrD, too.

Evander, could this lunch not be done on a weekend in which we will also see Cal off? Thus taking 2 brilliant ideas and forming one voltron-esque idea.

    well, yeah

but I feel like Callius deserves more than just a lunch.

With his permission, I'm going to put a little work into a forumer going away party. I don't mind heading up the planning; it gives me something to do while i'm at work.

you know I don't keep kosher, right

and when you say ham sandwich, I am assuming you mean an ENTIRE ham, between two slices of bread (prefferably Jewish Rye) and I will hold you to that assumption.
