Name that movie

My wife and I vaguely remember a scene from a movie or TV show, but cannot find what it's from. Google is failing us, so I am turning to you. Help us scratch this lethonomic brain itch.

Couple guys wake up after a black-out to discover they had stolen a large donut sign, now in the back of their truck.

Can you remember if it was a specific donut shop?

For instance Randy’s Donuts in the LA metro area has a famous donut-shaped sign that has appeared in a lot of movies and shows but I suspect it is too big to fit in the back of a pickup truck.

No idea on the movie, but I'm rooting for someone to know as I now wanna know. Also, sort of craving a donut.

Era of the movie? Recent or old?

My wife thinks the sign had someone holding the donut, maybe a Native American?

    Era?
Not sure. It feels like something in the last 20 years or so. Not super recent, or I think we’d remember more about the movie.

I tried ChatGPT, which told me:

“The movie you are referring to is "Best Laid Plans" (1999), directed by Mike Barker and starring Alessandro Nivola and Reese Witherspoon. In the film, two friends wake up after a night of heavy drinking to find that they have stolen a large donut sign from a local donut shop, and they must figure out how to return it without getting caught.”

Which doesn’t happen in that movie.

It also suggested Super Troopers with very specific details about a scene 12:30 into the movie at a diner called the Litter Box. Also a complete fabrication, lol.

ChatGPT is basically that function that tries to type your next word for you in a text message, just fed the entire internet as a sample size instead of just you and your wife texting grocery lists back and forth. It can say things that are definitely sentences but it doesn't actually understand the content, just the patterns. Everything it says is brazen bullshit.

Do they steal the doughnut costume in Sex Drive?

IDK I've never seen it but it does prominently feature a doughnut.

and I wonder about my neighbors even though I don't have them
but they're listening to every word I say

this isn't a 100% match, but I'll throw it out there because it's the first thing I thought of--you're not thinking of the Psych episode where they black out and discover they were at BoBo's donuts and had shot the mascot/sign the night before are you?

Might as well ask Dr Sbaitso. (If you're of a certain age.)

I'm going to toss something else at you.

Are you thinking of Role Models where Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott get drunk and wake up to find they've stolen and crashed the Minotaur Energy Drink truck?
