Even they they are not usually needed for cooling, a unit could be still useful if it had a dehumidify setting. Which is pretty darn nice to have if one lives in an area with lots of rain/humid weather.

Can confirm. I recently gave in and bought a dehumidifier and man, they're a game changer.
