God, I haven't played seriously in months and the test for MR17 is busting my balls. I've tried Wukong Prime with maxed out twin, Titania with all the energy I can fill her up with for constant pixie mode, but the damn balls keep popping up literally the other aide of the map almost every time and I simply can't melee the fuckers fast enough.
Wonder if World on Fire and max sprint speed and bullet jump on Ember Prime would work?
I just checked (I take a screenshot every time I pass a MR test) and I did that one with Wukong, for what it's worth. Maybe try and max duration for Cloud Walker to zip around the map?
OH yeah that one, that was one of the overall tougher ones and I think did take me a few tries to get good at in practice, but I thiiink I did it with just a normal warframe setup, no cheese with titania or other speedy warframes? I might have done it with titania though, I do have a pretty built up titania. The trick is just prioritizing orbs and only slowing down to kill enemies on your way between orbs when you have a healthy buffer of time left.
Glaive with Killing Blow, Melee Elementalist, Amalgam Organ Shatter for 180% heavy attack wind up speed and Dispatch Overdrive for 60% movement speed on heavy attack.

Yeah, I did Titania for that test. Once you hit 4, go melee three or so orbs if you can so you tick your time up to near cap. Then focus on hitting 3-5 enemies before going after another orb. I didn't have too much trouble on the enemies. If you have the beguiling lantern augment you can slap that one on so those help draw enemies in. It's only 30 enemies I think, so if you kill 3 and alternate, should take you 10 "waves" and still have possibly some time to spare.
Greetings Starfighter! You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada.
I think the only rank test i ever had to try more than once was the one where you have to stealth kill enemies, but the detection is super finicky and you just fail for no reason sometimes. Like one time I literally zoned in, didn't even take a step and failed.

The 3 times I've tried this week I was a few beers in, which may have been half my problem

picked up the Dual Toxocyst Incarnon from Circuit on Sunday eve, have a Riven for that (not the greatest rolls atm but not terrible either.. +212.8% Damage + 75.3% Zoom, +124% Multishot ) will gather up some more Kuva during the next couple days/weeks and roll it a few more times (have about 31 rolls on it so far) see if I can get something with +Crit chance and Multishot.
Have a few vanilla frames in the oven for Helminth (Wukong, Banshee... both being ones I had scrapped before Helminth was a thing) also grabbed Saryn from the Circuit as I never did get her vanilla frame so will be MRing that and feeding her to Helminth when I am done.
of the remaining vanilla frames that I need to get to MR on
Saryn (which should be done in a day or so )
Grendel (not sure when I am going to bother with that)
Protea (I have the coins.. just need to bother farming)
Sevagoth (need Neuro and Systems so more farming to do there)
Trinity (ended up getting prime before vanilla so never bothered farming.) honestly likely will just farm this one next, the rest are more of a pain.
Then I need to recollect a bunch of vanillas for Helminth too, Circuit will help a bunch but bullying some of the bosses for awhile can also be fun.

the rest are either in his belly already or waiting for a Prime replacement before they get eaten.
Also had built a 777 Amp finally. Not quite sure I get the love for the Propa Scaffold. Will be making a few more amps to finish off that pool of MR bait, but some might be fun so will end up farming up some more Toroids to make another couple Certus Braces. Thinking maybe a 5 or 6 -4/7 amp. Ill have to double check what amps I do have done already.

I finally pulled Koumei out of the oven last night!
Pros: Her aesthetics are super on-point. I almost didn't want to fashion-frame her, she's so pretty just as-is.
Mehs: The dice-roll mechanic on her powers is extremely...whatever. Not sure I ever noticed when I hit on triple-sixes. And I barely noticed that the dice total did anything.
Cons: Her 2 (Omikuji, the one that gives you a kill-challenge that rewards a random Decree) is infuriatingly bad!
-It's fine that the task is somewhat onerous (e.g. X Kills while Wall Clinging)
-It's fine that the task takes some time (e.g. I think I saw up to 60 Kills in one challenge)
-It's fine that the Decree is random
But it's super not fine that all three are frequently true, while also many of the Decrees that I saw were just straight-up useless (Bonuses to Parkour) or actively played against my play style (Bonuses for Heavy Attacks? Bonuses for Finishers?), WHILE ALSO sometimes you roll bad and the power just penalizes you for using it (?!?!?).
Like, I don't know how a designer looks at what her 2 does, holistically, and decides "Yup, that'll be really fun and useful in typical Warframe play!" Just a failure at every point.
Make the kill counts lower, the challenges less onerous and annoying, remove the bad-roll penalty, shorten the Decree list to weed out the chaff and actually give you good buffs at each opportunity. Bam, fun and functional. Hell, go one further, and make the Decree list set each time so that you can build-plan around it. Or make it use the Decree picking UI from Duviri, and then you can actually craft your play as you go!
Also, her 4 just has like the worst visual feedback. Until I just looked it up, I couldn't tell you precisely what the AoE what shaped like from playing last night. Maybe it was my energy color, maybe it was that we were in Orb Vallis, maybe I just suck at noticing details while a 4-stack rampages across an acre of Corpus bodies, I dunno. By the end of the night I was spamming it just to see if I could identify what it hit, and I was failing.
Koumei's 2 can absolutely be summed up as "great concept terrible execution". It's basically a dead power outside of endless missions to begin with, and then it has tons of hoops to fight through.
Kills while gliding, sliding, or wall hanging are also pretty irritating button combination on a controller. They work on Nightwave where you split them across a bunch of missions but when you're trying to do a bunch of them in a single mission? No thanks
Her 1 and 4 are not bad. They're good powers.
2 needs just some adjustment in what kind of rewards you get and the hoops you have to go through. I think it's fine that cooldown increases for the number of powers you take and goes on a cooldown if you reject a challenge.
3 needs some adjustment IMHO. Possibly that when you get hit it's a 50/50 flip if it heals you or hurts them.
As for Prime Access. Prime access is for whales that want to sponsor DE (not saying that it's bad, but it's a price point where I'd have to earn a lot of money to take that deal). Normal people either grind or make other people grind for them (instead buying platinum and using platinum to trade for the stuff).

I did Prime Access once and that was right when I had started playing Warframe, if I recall it was an Ember Prime and Loki Prime bundle. really helped out when I started, especially the resource booster. Couldnt fathom paying for that stuff now but then, I was playing a game for free and I was having an effing blast with it so it felt right. Oh found when it was .. 7 years ago in 2018.. (man the pandemic really fucked with sense of time)

· Sicarus Prime
· Glaive Prime
· Summus Prime Sentinel Accessories
· Daman Prime Sugatra

Used Ember a fuckton back then, pretty sure Prime Glaive and Sicarius are still in my top used weapons despite not having really used them that much in awhile.
The 1999 Hub is back. Is it just there to be a dance party until the release or is there something to do there?
I found the hidden tunnel to a ticket machine(?) that hade a "Take" prompt but I'm not sure if anything actually happened. Go to the stairs to the right of the stage and jump into the plants to find the tunnel.
I did some math on Prime Access a while back and if you're on PC and the kind of person who only buys plat on a 75% coupon, it's never worth it. If you're the type who uses 50% coupons, it's usually worth it, at least for the frame bundles, not so much the weapon/accessory bundles. If you're on console and don't have discounted plat, it's definitely worth it from a strict value perspective.

Found out that it gives you a glyph of the water mascot on the machine.
Baro Ki'teer has Jolt (60/60 lightning pistol mod not obtainable elsewhere) and Primed Animal Instinct, among other things. If like me these are things you did not have.
Also Primed Target Cracker (pistol crit dmg) but didn't he have that just a few weeks ago?
New Somachord tune too apparently, and a relic with Volt Prime pieces. I can't imagine ever having enough ducats to spend on cosmetics and/or consumables.
Oh yeah, I have 3 soulframe beta codes, PM me if you want one. It wasn't really grabbing me when I tried it a year ago but I think it's more of a real game now, maybe?

Is anything permanent at all in it, or is it basically a feedback state?
It’s … interesting, took me a few to figure out how to even use powers. Playing it I feel I have absolutely no idea what is going on, weird dudes who look like they are from the game Blasphemous trying to kill you, certainly not like Warframe where you fly around the map exploding countless enemies. Pretty looking not quite sure what to do other than follow the bird around

I probably took loki with rush and an ignis wraith
I love that everyone's solution in warframe tends to be dakka over snipers
There is definitely a place for skill, subtlety and precision, but many just prefer to brute-force things.
(Lotus knows I've said "screw this" and used Titania to cheese many parkour bits, in both MR tests and regular missions.)
Heavy attack explosions don't work but direct hits do. Gonna want a glaive for the MR 19 test anyway.
*takes notes, checks Armory...hello Glaive Prime that I haven't ranked up since building it sometime a year or two ago*

Man Prime Access is way too expensive o_O I'm not spending $80 on one set of pixels. So, the grind it is.

I mean, Warframe gets worse about tutorials with every new gameplay addition
https://www.warframe.com/news/warframe-on-android
Hopefully we don't actually need to download the client to get that stuff.
What tutorials?
