Temporarily signing out when viewing some threads

Sometimes when clicking into a thread it will log me out. Just while I'm viewing that thread. So, I click into the thread, and instead of going to the latest it takes me to the first page with options to sign in before I post.

I can go back and I'll be signed in again.

I've only noticed it while on Chrome on desktop.

That’s some Vanilla issue (has been happening on occasion for many years) where (presumably for load-related reasons) Vanilla doesn’t generate the custom page view for you, which it has to do for every user on every page load, so you get a cached version that’s served to users that aren’t signed in.

No idea what can be done to fix it on Vanilla’s end.
