It takes a while for the Light Novel -> Manga -> Anime pipeline to fully flesh out, so about now is the time where VTuber animes should start to show up.
I did read the VTuber legend novel for a little while. The problem with it is all the characters are obviously based off existing VTubers and I could just watch them instead of reading some guys OC Hololive character fanfiction.
I imagine it's going to be a real struggle for someone get a successful vtuber anime going. I can think a few pit falls that can potentially get really ugly.

By about volume...I want to say 4 or 5 it hits its stride and starts coming up with designs and events that aren't immediately obvious as homages.
As for other vtuber stories...I'd be surprised still if you see any of them yet. I haven't really heard anyone picking up some of the shorter ones that finished for manga or audio dramas. They probably just haven't made the cut. Vtuber legend is legitimately pretty funny, so...

So I skimmed the Bae, IRyS, and Ollie HoloEarth video and honestly it looks really bad. I'm also just really baffled about why it exists. Like, if I just loaded into this thing blind I don't think I would even realize it was Holo related? Which just seems like not understanding what little appeal an idea like this might have. From what I saw when Bae was scrolling through the store it seemed very generic, when what I would have expected is stuff like hairstyles that mimic or at least evoke various Holomems hair, and clothes that are more like Holo merch or again obviously reference the characters in some way.
And what is the point of bolting on the most generic of generic knock off survival craft games?
Why is the render limit like 15 people at once causing people to pop in and out of view basically constantly?
Also the art style seems very generic and I feel like it would look out of place next to actual Holomems which again I feel like if that's not the eventual end goal what is the point of this.
While racing light mechs, your Urbanmech comes in second place, but only because it ran out of ammo.

Holoearth has three prongs: the survival game, the fashion/city game, and being a concert venue. It's free to play and gets revenue from the fashion game and concert-related goods purchases (so far concerts happening within the app have been free to view). The survival game is there to offer something to do with your avatar besides hanging out in town when there isn't a concert happening. Given that it's currently in early access/pre-release mode and is being made entirely in-house I think it's actually doing pretty well all things considered.
Also for further context, Holoearth was announced publicly announced in October 2021. So people really shouldn't expect the given the time that many more established videogame studios put into their products, I'd argue it's not really far to compare videogames made by companies that have more experience and have also sunk way more time into their product; especially, with it being free to play.
Honestly, I don't think it looks any worse than other survival games that it could fairly be compared against.
I also wouldn't even compare it's visuals to that of actual avatars for Cover's vtubers. A very different approach goes into designing the characters models that the talents use and this means that they are going to look much than a videogame avatar; especially, one for a free to play game that is also trying to ensure that those customizable avatars won't look like shit.
Finally, there is also the whole thing of accessibility, there isn't going much point for Cover doing this the way they want to implement it, if they insist on a setup that essentially means a large number of their fandom's PCs can't run the game; especially, if they can't run the concerts. I gather they also want it to be available on mobile platforms in a few years, so that's another huge consideration for them as well.
This is early release, so we'll see how the final release ends up. Also given what Cover wants to do with this, I wouldn't be surprised if just keep polishing it and adding new features (mind you I wouldn't expect them to roll out new features anywhere near fast).

Okay for the people that care, I think we've got very solid guesses now for all 4 of holo Justice.
The previous 'easy' ones that people were very convinced on were
Raora is Yuniiho
Cecilia is probably SoyaPoya
After that it looks likely that
Gigi is Biscotti
And finally after some sleuthing it looks like the other big acquisition for the gen is
Elizabeth is ElieMonty/Eileen Montgomery (also LadyBard). She's a VERY good singer and also does some spot on impressions of other vtubers. Also professional voice actress.
Kiara was doing a watch along stream for the Poland v Austria game at the European Championships and enjoyed it so much she decided to keep going and do a watch along for the next game (France v Netherlands).

If you're not familiar with this game, get ready for something wild.
Tonight is Gura's show.
