Unable to DM people with spaces in their name

I haven't seen this reported yet. The main problem is that when you click on someone's profile and then click "message", their name doesn't auto-populate. If they have a single-word name the workaround is just to copy and paste the username and then you can send a DM.
However, the workaround doesn't work if you have a space in your name. It doesn't work even if you put quotation marks around the name. The field just can't seem to recognize it. If I put quotation marks around it then hit send, it gives the error message "You must select at least one recipient."
The last time I know for sure DMs worked normally was April 13.
I'm on Windows 11, Chrome browser desktop.
