Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on PS5, Xbox Series S/X and Steam on February 28th 2025 (Japan time, so on the 27th for North America).
Full crossplay between all platforms.
Open Beta starts on October 28th for PSPlus members, then on 31st for everyone else. The beta will end on November 3rd.

I was curious so I looked up how it was handled for MH:World. I guess it really depends on how far developed or integrated the Gamescom demo in late August will be like and how much more there is to fit into the release. I'd be more wary if they decided to rush release for some arbitrary date (say, Christmas '24)
Rise had a demo in Jan, 2nd demo in early March and release to consoles in late march

In the Wilds video, charging the shield did use the phials as normal. Looked to work the same as it did in World.
