This jerk was entrenched here, he had like several should have been career ending fuck ups in just the 14 years I have known him
So maybe someone up in the boardrooms is cleaning up a bit

As mentioned in the previous thread, I have an interview with the county this coming Thursday morning.
Just checked my email, and had a new message from the HR person. My brain immediately went in to panic mode and started screaming "THEY HAVE CANCELED THE INTERVIEW YOU HAVE FAILED", but upon opening said email it was a a confirmation message. So yeah, brains are cool.
I’m back on the active hunt again since I got notified last week my contract’s not getting renewed at the end of this month.
Not surprising, since we’ve been in the self-cannibalization part of the merger since the start of the year and the eye of redundancy has turn towards our team.
Fortunately, my contracting company really wants to keep making money off me so they’re trying to line up an IT job at a place closer to home before the month is out. I was looking at other stuff this morning, and I feel apprehensive, worried my resume isn’t up to snuff to take the plunge into the hellscape that is job hunting now.

I’m self employed, which is similar to constantly looking for and getting a job, forever. A veritable falling with style. I can’t recommend it enough. Hang on, forgot the comma. I can’t recommend it, enough.
But on the flip-side I almost never send emails, and they’re never to multiple people at once, which I can only imagine has increased my life expectancy by ten years.

I am sitting alone because my student had a legitimate work thing they’re managing and it is not their fault and I am not mad at them but this is really depleting my remaining “give a fuck” reserve for the remaining 3 weeks of this job.

The job req I tried to open somehow made it through all the required approvals only to end up in the upside-down, in some state that even HR can't modify it.
The main like I guess the term that makes sense to the rest of the world, site manager, is on PTO, so there has been no announcement or anything about the jerk supervisor getting fired
The regional manager probably doesn't want to step on the site managers toes, but someone really should say something
Everyone knows something is up, his weird little clique of toxic back stabbers are extremely paranoid and awkward
He also certainly called or texted someone that he was fired
Most Everyone has most everyone's phone numbers because the warehouse ceiling is too low for (cheap) walkie talkies to work
Also the same toxic group of backstabbers recently lost several nicely appointed SUVs worth of product, had it removed from inventory, so more product was ordered and then a different team found it
So the site is way way over stocked on some very expensive stuff, and more than half of it will expire before it's used
for the first time in my life I feel like if something went really wrong I'd be able to handle it. I almost teared up, but instead I got a migraine
but still a good day yesterday!

The job I applied for is asking for my first and last paystub of my current job, with all of the payment info hidden, so they can verify I've worked there as long as I say that I have
Never had to do this before, but I guess it doesn't seem that weird
Not sure how I'm gonna find a paystub from 2012 though
