Has "NotTycho" been writing BookShots™? Parading his lexicon on the streetcorner for easy money? Dictation behind seedy dives for pay?

    1. “peudonym” is misspelled
    2. Craig Mazin also roomed with Ted Cruz his freshman year at Princeton and wrote hilarious tweets about what a schmuck that guy is

Typical Tycho. He should learn from a real writer like Jerry Holkins.

There is a fantasy author Joe Abercrombie.
Is he trying to hide his connection? Or are the real writers fans using his name as the base? Or do they hate him and are trying to tar him by association?

Was the movie so bad that he used a pseudonym then rejected even the pseudonym?

At this point, it might be easier to figure it out by eliminating anyone who didn't write it. I'll go first and swear that I did not write it.

I don't feel comfortable with this line of inquiry and will recuse myself from answering.

This just weirder and weirder. Per Jerry's post, here's the twitter thread:

As he noted, Randy Pitchford (president/CEO of Gearbox, game studio behind Borderlands) jumps in a couple of times and only adds to the oddity. I guess he's claiming it IS Joe Abercrombie.

    Also,

So he's Joe Abercrombie, but he was too awesome to take credit so he used the pseudonym... "Joe Crombie"?

    I just... What...

Do you ever get the feeling you're having conversation with someone who is actually having a different conversation?

I dunno, A Little Hatred was so bad I quit reading it halfway through

This is sad to hear, I've only just started the audiobook. The First Law Trilogy was fantastic.

Would have been much better if he had used the pseudonym Joe Kreider.

I've heard First Law is really good but I read Best Served Cold and despite finishing it, kind of hated it. It was just cynical and miserable and pointless.

You won't like the First Law trilogy, it's the same thing spread over 3 books

I didn't even knew their was a Borderland film.
And now that I'm typing it, I get the vague impression that I did read or hear about it somewhere one or two years ago.

I am 99% sure I didn't either, but I do not fully exclude the possibility of a future version of me using time travel and writing stuff in the past.
