Apple's interface design philosophy and my need for a non-ugly, low-friction interface are incompatible.
I think the hardcore mac fans are going to have an identity crisis when no-one uses Safari because it's functionally inferior to FF. If it could import cookies I would give it an honest shot, but I'm not going to go and log back in to every site I use. It's the same reason I don't use Opera - I like it, but it won't eat my cookies. Plus it lacks a noscript equivalent (having to trudge through 3 menus to enable scripts for a site is no good).
If you were thinking about using Safari for Windows, you might want to hold off a bit until Apple fixes all the security holes found within the first few hours of its release yesterday. So much for “Apple engineers designed Safari to be secure from day one.” Ouch.
Security researcher David Maynor, posting on his Errata security blog, said he was also able to generate a memory corruption error "in no time." By the end of the day, he was able to generate a total of six bugs--four producing a denial of service (crash), and two capable of executing remote code.

Welcome Horror Fan's, I'll get strait to the point! Asylum Explorer WebBrowser is Awsome. It is a Webbrowser in the Horror Genere. It has all the main features that is found in Internet Explorer 3.0 and later Plus Some. It's main features are: Back, Forward, Refresh, Stop, Home, Email, Find, Search, Save, Print, Print Preview, Resize, Enlarge, UnEnlarge, Favorites, History, Properties and Internet Options. Plus a few others I did not mention. Asylum Explorer is IE Based which means that it uses the Internet Explorer Engine. You must have internet Explorer 3.0 or later installed on your computer in order to use this browser. It may work with Netscape but I am unsure being I have never Tested it with netscape. Asylum Explorer is colorful and contains Gore.

Why does Apple think I enjoy looking at blurry text.
What sort of thinking would cause them to arrive at that conclusion.
It's a different mentality.
One is functional for every day use. The other is functional for a select group of people.
Their font algorithm makes complete sense from a graphic design perspective. But fuck if I want to strain my eyes because it means that the font is more "true" to it's core.

Yeah, that's a good strategy. Trying to appeal to a wide variety of buyers while keeping the narrow focus.
But I haven't seen font this blurry when I actually used Macs. It's fine on them. I can only conclude that Safari sucks even harder.

That's because, I could only assume, that the backbone for font support is different on a mac than it is on a PC. So, the safari browser is trying to override the basic structure of fonts when running on the PC (plus you're seeing it in comparisson to the crisp fonts elsewhere in windows). Where as on a mac it doesn't have to do that work, plus you don't have anything to directly compare it to.
I'd really be interested to see the fonts side by side on their respective monitors.

I downloaded Safari for my XP box, and have been using it (which isn't very much, I never use XP unless it's absolutely necessary.)
I'm not sure if it's just my install, but the report bug button crashes Safari. I find that hilarious.
hahahahahahahahaha

"Ha, even Apple softwares gets exploited! See, PCs really are that awful!"

They're "more secure" in the same way my 98SE box is "more secure."

Websites running on dial-up connections in a basement on an old 8086, maybe.

Interesting read and really gets to the heart (I feel) of the split between PC and Mac implimentation.
I fucking knew I wasn't making things up when I said the forums looked different when I switched back to Mac.
What sort of thinking would cause them to arrive at that conclusion.

Pick a guide. Personally I used the Configuration Mania extension to do it and a number of other fun tweaks.

I'm going to have to play around with those settings and see how it interacts with the majority of the sites I go to.

THIS IS HOW ALL FONTS SHOULD LOOK ON THE INTERWEBS NOW.

Also my scroll wheel didn't work. Z-huh? Oh well, Un-installed the pos, asap.
