They have literally done a Jurassic Park, complete with a detail from the original book that didn't actually appear in film until Jurassic World - they aren't dinosaurs, they're something new cooked up from extant species to meet public expectations of dinosaurs.
There's been a few good takedowns, but the short version is that the white coat is not what dire wolves looked like, the taller and longer build is not how they were built, and the long skull has none of the features that set them apart*.
What they DO have? All the features of the dire wolves in Game of Thrones. And they named one Khaleesi because I guess they don't remember any of the characters.
*-And they are set quite apart. Aenocyon and Lupis are products of convergent evolution, not closely related species.

I read the book (but not its sequels), and I'm not so sure that that detail was in it. In the book, it was simply stated that they had to fill in some gaps in the dino DNA with frog DNA. Ditto with some of the other species. They didn't say "well, this is actually an iguana with a few genes inserted", which would be the equivalent to the dire wolf thing. And closer to what they said in Jurassic World.
I wonder: are there enough folks who would participate at Coin Return yet that I should start posting the comic over there? My preference would be to have a dedicated thread for it, as I don't really read other webcomics and don't want a higher volume thread with tons of posts that don't interest me. Well, my REAL preference would be a subforum with one post per day like here, but that's not really in the cards. Who would join me if I went over there now rather than wait for D-Day?
There are a bunch of us over there already. Coin Return is actually pretty boomin'. Feels more alive over there than it has here at PA over the last few months. I think a lot of lurkers and casuals and long-lost posters have come back to check out the new neighborhood. Feels very alive there at the moment.

In googling to see if I remembered correctly, I ran across this interesting post from pre-Jurassic World:
https://www.reddit.com/r/FanTheories/comments/185hq0/jurassic_park_there_was_no_dino_dna/
It's based on the movies, but lots of comments about the book confirms that this reality isn't stated in the book, just the smaller frog DNA thing.
I'm already there! I just haven't posted anything yet.
One of those eyes is not like the others.
