My folks live in Killen, Al (near Florence) and I'm "moving there" before I ship out for basic training. So Alabama will be my de facto 'home' for the next 5 years or so, even though I intend to spend little time there.

I'm not 100% sure, but by the first 3 octets, I'd say we're still on HomeLAN, although I suppose it could just be coincidence that the new host has the same first two octets and a third that is damn close.
wow there is a few smart people here....i guess robert didnt lie...
but as for being on homelan, close but no.
That's why alpha always comes to us first when he does code changes.
# whois 38.113.228.130
Performance Systems International Inc. PSINETA (NET-38-0-0-0-1)
38.0.0.0 - 38.255.255.255
Performance Systems International Inc. COGENT-NB-0002 (NET-38-112-0-0-1)
38.112.0.0 - 38.119.255.255
As you can see....homelan doesnt actually own IP addresses....bandwidth providers do though.
Right. What I meant was that HomeLAN is big enough to have a huge (> 253) block of IPs, and that even with the 3rd octet change, it would've been a safe bet that we were still with HomeLAN. I bet wrong, however.

I wouldn't say I come to you guys first. Give me some credit, I do have independent thoughts.

You're making this too hard. You can find out, I just did quickly. The problem is, even if you find out, I will censor it

Oh fuck, either Alpha's pulled some stupid shit and we're piggybacking on a disused CIA server or our new host is Vatican City and come this Sunday we're all officially baptised.
Either way, this is one hornets nest this stick ain't gonna poke no more.

Do you pay attention to all those signs at the gas pump telling you to to make sure your car, cell phone, PDA, pacemaker, etc. are all turned off before you start pumping?
lan parties are always fun good way to bring people together..

Silence! You're not allowed to have independent thoughts until we tell you which independent thoughts to have!
Now, go get me a latte. :P

Sorry, I wasn't trying to make trouble.:( There was speculating going on and you and Jason didn't seem to mind, so I thought I'd throw my independent thoughts in.;)
And I do hope someone somewhere is keeping score for CT. I mean, I've seen him do the bungie guy and now the guy who's running our new server before it's even set up properly, and I'm guessing there have been plenty of others...
Wait... I don't remember editing that....
Oh, and I think Sean was playing with squid so the site didn't curl up and die. It doesn't help that I've been on the road since Thursday.

I also banned Batjew (apparently in my sleep with the power of my mind) and told a prominent member of the PA crew to go fuck himself. I also killed deni's dog.
I have a theory about CT. See, new dogs rock up to the forum and occasionally they get bitten by CT, who's a pitbull, and they think that he's just abusing his strength. But when you've seen him attack a bear and chase it off, you realise that he's just one of those dogs who will attack anything for no apparent reason, and the pitbull thing is entirely coincidental. He's an asshole sometimes, but to be fair he is an asshole towards pretty much everybody without discrimination, which kinda makes up for it.
I've been thinking about this too much, haven't I?

It's not that hard to find out. I would tell all the people that don't know how to, but I'll leave it a mystery to them. :P. Ijust wish the internet worked like electricity, fastest route. For me it goes across the country and back. .
Reminds me of the Microsoft Route Planner when you select "Norway" from the listbox and enter "Haugesund" into the City field as the start and put "Trondheim" as the ending city.

So, who likes ants? Anyone? Anyone?
I'm in Tampa.
Should I come down with much ham and turkey?
Brig some beer too.
Oh, and our new host is Jesus' beard.
Fantastical. I shall make with the sausage, and the alchohol, and the barbeque sauce thereof.
We shall dine on the beaches of justice and happy.
I will hang my head in disgust.
Trying to post this I got another new error I've never seen before.

[edit] That is, obvious in my world. Possibly not accurate in the real one
[edit2] Actually, not sure it makes much sense really.
