Is the buy two get one free thing for all games in Toys R. Us?

The ad scan linked in the OP clearly states in giant white letters on a red background that it is on ALL Nintendo DS games. Not 360, not PS3, and not the Okama Game Sphere.

Why do you guys know about clearance stuff before me?

I have Kirby, Diddy Kong, and the DS Browser on hold for me tomorrow. I may pick them up.

Honestly, I'd pass on Kirby. It's a fun game, but entirely too short and too easy. When you're finished you very much have a feeling of "That's it?"

It's one of the best DS games made thus far. But, if you don't like music and rythem games, you may want to stay away.

I have a question, though. Is Planet Puzzle League any good?

It's...neat. My tastes aren't really directed toward that sort of thing, but I like it plenty, and if can't think of anything else to get, i'd say EBA isn't a bad choice at all. This is probably the most sober recommendation of that game you'll ever, ever read in this thread...or the forum, for that matter.

    Anyway, I'm a bit torn.

I'm thinking right now I'll be getting New Super Mario Bros and Pokemon Pearl (what's the alt-code for the "e`" again?), but I don't know if the free one should be Star Fox Command if they have it, or maybe Pokemon Diamond so I can sell it to a friend for maybe 15 bucks.

I have no idea about Planet Puzzle League... we just got it in the other day. The back of the box makes it look like Meteos, especially with the symbols they choose to use for the blocks.

I love music and rhythm games, I was just worried about the song selection being shitty. I loved Ouendan, but I have a feeling it was because it was in a language I couldn't understand, and were songs I weren't familiar with.

I think I may pick up Trace Memory and drop Kirby and Diddy Kong, but that still leaves me with one game... ideas?

By far, my favorite song on EBA was Canned Heat...after that, there's a Village People song, then uhh...sk8er boi. bleh. Nothing that could ruin the game for me. Generally, once i'm into the game, I'm worried about hitting the beats more than the song.

I highly, highly recommend Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. I'm playing it right now, in fact. Fuck, if they Dawn of Sorrow, I'll get that as my third game.

We haven't had Portrait of Ruin in since November. I did end up getting it as a present from now (now not so) girlfriend when I went to visit her for Christmas. I believe my game collection in my sig is semi-updated, at least with DS games. I really do have over 30 DS games... 33 in fact, by my count. I basically own all the must haves in the library.

If we happen to magically get NY Times Crossword in the mail on Monday, that's my sure bet for a third game.

Already, seems like I'm getting Tamagotchi Corner Shop 2 for my girlfriend, and I'm deciding between Elite Beat Agents, Mario Hoops 3 on 3, Diddy Kong Racing DS, and Custom Robo. (And possibly Super Mario 64 DS)

Here's hoping my TRU didn't get slammed too badly. I stopped by last night to see what was up, but the next time I'm available to actually stop and buy my games won't be until Wednesday.

And I can comfortably say that it's one if not THE best multiplayer puzzle game there is.

More to the point, you're sowing confusion and possibly disappointment to your fellow gamers. It took me all of 20 seconds to discover how to edit the title of a post. When we have a correctly titled duplicate thread vying for attention not bumping the thread you're unwilling to fix the title in is only courteous.

While I was at TRU picking up Mario Kart DS finally, along with Planet Puzzle League and Yoshi's Island DS, I noticed that they are still selling Polarium there, for like, 4.98... At that price I would highly recommend anyone that sees a copy and doesnt have it, to pick it up as a 4th title. Just make sure they dont ring it up as your Free game.

Indeed, but I need more suggestions.

    SimCity DS?

I kinda struggled with SimCity 4, though, so would that be a good idea?

I'm thinking of grabbing Pokemon Pearl or Diamond for the gf, knowing nothing about Pokemon, which should I get for her?

Historically the only difference in the Pokemon versions has been what monsters can be caught in either.

Also, he mocked Kirby which is one of the few games I've really like the touch interface's usage on the DS so far. It is short but it's a unique experience. (Not actually the reason I brought it up, just something I'd meant to comment upon.)

The main differences between diamond and pearl are which one of those legendary monsters that are in the box art you can encounter, and a few pokemon that can appear in one version but not in the other, or appear in different places or at different rates. The gameplay, plot, world, and so on are identical.

If anybody is interested, I just got back from the Toys R Us in Times Square and they have a pretty decent selection at the moment.

Picked up Mario Kart, Planet Puzzle League, and Tetris. I'll probably go back later this week for Elite Beat Agents, Rocket Slime, and Animal Crossing. I'm on the fence about Super Princess Peach and Yoshi's Island. The only game I really wanted that they didn't have was that recent Konami arcade collection.

I went to the local TRU and picked up Starfox Command, Metroid Prime Hunters, and Pokemon Pearl. I really wanted to get Etrian Odyssey, but the local store doesn't have it and it's already sold out online. I'm thinking of heading back tomorrow and picking up DQH: Rocket Slime, but I'm having a hard time deciding between:

Trauma Center - I don't know what it is, but I'm apprehensive about getting this game. I think I'm just apprehensive about real life sim-like games (bad past experiences).
EBA - Really not a fan of rhythm games at all (haven't played either of the GH's though). The only reason I'm even considering it is because of all the praise it gets around here.
Custom Robo Arena - I hear the RPG campaign is pretty dull, and I'm not sure how often I'd play it online. Is there really any point if I won't be playing online much?
Yoshi's Island - Well, I'm not really sure why I'm debating getting this. I'll probably end up getting it unless I have a change of heart and decide to get one or two of the above instead.
Final Fantasy III - See above.

I'd really like to try something different, but it's hard to go that route with Yoshi's Island and FFIII as choices.
