Toys R Us: Buy 2 get 1 Free DS Games

edited June 2007 in Games and Technology
I know the DS is well-loved on this forum, and if you're like me, and don't have the time to go out and find these games at discount, this is a good way to pick up some DS games at a good price point.

Courtesy of CAG: ToysRUs is having a buy 2 get one free sale on all DS games. Should come to about 22 dollars per game with shipping/tax included (unless you live in Oregon, like me, and no tax for you ;) ).

This is online, and in the store, but online currently has a better selection. I picked up Clubhouse Games, Elite Beat Agents, Hotel Dusk, Etrian Oddyssey (see the current thread for info), Yoshi's Island DS, and Phoenix Wright 2.

Hope this helps some people.

I'm considering going to pick up Etrian Odyssey, Sim City and Puzzle League. Has anyone here played Sim City DS?

I'd kinda like to go pick up Hotel Dusk, Elite Beat Agents, and Starfox.

However, I also don't get paid until Friday. Hm.

    Meteos: Disney Magic

Yeah, she LOVED Hotel Dusk so I thought this would be a good gift for her.

    I believe one week.

My only concern would be shortages of supply as the week goes on.

It's kind of disappointing that they don't have castlevania on the list.

So I'm thinking Trauma Center, Elite Beat Agents, and Hotel Dusk.

    Good choices?

Or maybe I should pick up a Castlevania.

I found hotel dusk and trauma center be extremely frustrating. I didn't like either of it that much.
Hotel dusk does have one of the finest presentation I've ever seen in a video game.

EBA is a great choice. it's fun all the way to the finish, even if you disagree with the music selection.

Oh, fuck it. I just won't buy comics or anything for the next couple weeks.

Alternatively, I didn't like EBA at all but I love Trauma Center. Hotel Dusk is okay, but it's the kind of game that gets by on its looks alone.

I can't think of a third game I want that I don't have. I decided on Yoshi's Island but apparantly it's not available online. I considered DBZ Harkunaru Densetsu because I'm a DBZ fan and IGN gave it a good review but I decided against it because I'm not really into card games. Etrian Odyssey is supposed to be good but it looks a little too hardcore for my tastes. Clubhouse Games is an option but I don't think I would play it often. Finally there's Harvest Moon. I'm a big Harvest Moon fan but I know this one is a little bland and I could do without it.

This is a good deal but if I can't pick a free game, I should probably pass.

EDIT:: So I'm thinking Mario Kart (I know, I know, travesty that I don't already own it), Hotel Dusk, Theme Park. People liked Theme Park, right? I love those kind of financial sims, so if it was good at all, I'll like it.

You wouldn't want to buy from toysrus.com anyways.

They're known for charging you full price for the two games, then cancelling the free one because it is "out of stock".

The sad thing is, the stores actually have it in stock, but they're considered a "separate entity" so they can't make an arrangement.
