Sega at Tokyo Game show rumour (probably fake, but lets dream a little anyways)
Shenmue is dead guys. It hurts I know but it's not coming back.
Does the world really need more mediocre adventure games with bad voice acting?
Mediochre adventure game? You mean Mediochre adventure game that gave birth to QTE (Quick time Events) that every game wants in on now?
Games like -
Prince of Persia - The Two Thrones
God of War 1 and 2
Resident Evil 4
You also mean Mediochre Adventure games that used real world locations, thousands of interactive and fully modelled items, biking (Shenmue 1), interactive games, collectables a time of day and character routine system, weather effects, loads of characters, stealth gameplay, dozens of shops and locations and a fighting system thats the closest thing to a Streets of Rage 4 as you can get.
Yes the voice acting could have been better, yes there were limitations on the hardware (that were pushed to their limits) and yes there are some wtf moments, but it was still ahead of its time and completely unique. Most people were just too stubborn and blind to see all that it offers.

He didn't say anything about mediochre games(Sorry, I had to do it).
Also, biking... just one of the things you said, but individually, most of those things aren't that impressive.

No, that list is of games that we know about.
The consoles they are coming out on is a bunch of bullshit.

I'm sorry what? I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what the hell you just wrote. All the ones on the list can be linked to information/articles and such, thusly we know they exist. I really cannot be bothered linking that whole list to info.

Aren't impressive by today's standard. Back when it came out, it was a different story.
Anyway was'nt there screenshots released a couple years ago about Shenmue 3? Weren't they actually planning to make it on Xbox 360? As it officially been called off?
He traded his cock to the devil for it. This list does seem like fanwank, but I'd really like to see another Space Channel 5 game. Although the first one probably made me it's bitch enough for one lifetime.
A long time ago I saw screens of Space Channel 5. I thought it was a sucky-sucksuck cash-in. Yesterday, I saw a playthrough of Space Channel 5. DEAR GOD YES! UGA was one of the best things to happen to the gaming industry.
You know, I actually really want this. Fuck digging out old consoles to play two separate games, and if they have bugfixes/additions all the better.
I would buy it if the controls are non-fucked up. I bought Shenmue II for 360's BC, and it's just horrible. It shattered so many memories. The graphics don't need upgrading (they're OK), just the control scheme.

Capcom says yes.
Yes the voice acting could have been better
Didn't you hear? Back in 99' every game had impeccable voice acting.
most of those things aren't that impressive
Maybe ten years after the fact they weren't. But back then? They were definitely impressive.
Anyway was'nt there screenshots released a couple years ago about Shenmue 3? Weren't they actually planning to make it on Xbox 360? As it officially been called off?
The games exist. The consoles they are listed for are made up.
Since, again, Sonic RPG is a DS game, not a next-gen console game.
I'm with you man. That is what tipped me off too. Given that both SEGA and Bioware have mentioned quite speciifically it's a DS game, this list is just plain wrong.
Future was terrible in comparison to the original JSR. It's like they made a concious effort to remove the fun parts and add in lots of tedium.
Other than graphically, the game has no improvements on the original. I loved the soundtrack to JSRF, but the first's soundtrack was equally as good. JGR is in my top 5 favorite games of all time, JSRF is not.
Skies of Arcadia 2 might just be the best thing ever. The first one was insanely good.
But, and dont take this thr wrong way, its supposedly for Wii, which is making me worried it is going to be more of a port using similar assets to the GC version rather than a fully next gen incredible visual feast on the PS3 or 360.
Actually, given the art direction used in Skies of Arcadia, it probably wouldn't benefit as greatly from the graphical horsepower of the 360 and PS3 as you'd think. The Wii is a big enough step-up from the Dreamcast that you'd see a pretty significant jump in graphical quality anyway.

Ghost Squad for the Wii is real. They've announced it before I believe.
It's true that JSR was much better than JSRF, but to say that JSRF was bad? INCORRECT RESPONSE
I mean, I would have enjoyed it had I never played JSR, but because I knew what it could have been, it left a bad taste in my mouth.
Did I miss something?
It seemed to me aside from the graffiti mechanics and the browned out color scheme, it was really the same game.
Hell, most of the music was just remixes of songs on JSR (Still awesome though).

I skipped the dreamcast era so I haven't touched the originals for most of this stuff.
I would guess at least one of those crazy WTF entries ends up being true by chance.
Does the world really need more mediocre adventure games with bad voice acting?
NO. JSRF WAS BAD.
JSR... that was beauty.
If I could punch people in the throat through the internet...

Personally, the fact that Shenmue invented QTEs simply makes me wish it had never existed, regardless of its other qualities.

I mean a new Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Space Channel 5 and Jet Set Radio game... I dunno guys.
Japan only release I beleive.

And that game is so fun it's crazy.
Where the shit is Police Academy for the Wii?
JSR was much better than JSRF. That is 100% SCIENTIFIC FACT. I am going to presume you never played JSR.
