watership down was the rabbit film that was surprisingly violent for a film to be shown to 4 year olds right

I used to really love Animorphs, right up until the sixth grade when I gave all 20+ of my books to the school library. Now, I hardly remember anything about it.

I'm OK with it starting tomorrow, that would be better than Friday. As long as it's accepted that Friday I probably just hop on a bandwagon and fluff post.

I believe we have a Vote count:

    Thu/Fri: 11
    Mon: 1
    Whenever: 1

Also, guys, this vote is for what day you want the game to start. The difference in Thu/Fri is when we get to 60 players. So if you haven't voted yet, please do!

also, does anyone know a single page I could go to to just read a plot synopsis of the series as whole, chronologically? I read it as a kid, but that was over 10 years ago, and I think I skipped around. That scholastic.com thing is helpful, but it's a lot of clicking and a lot of unimportant stuff, and it isn't quite chronological because of the Megamorph books and stuff.

it's a pretty long and convoluted thing

as long as you know the premise and a few races, you are pretty much set

the last 10 book synopses might be handy to know i guess

I wouldn't even be asking except that browing Wikipedia I saw a reference to
    Rachel's funeral

and I became excited to think that maybe the series stopped being a bunch of small meaningless fights and maybe actually something happened in the end.

I think I stopped reading them when there was a reference to how "delicious" "taco bell" was.

    I loved the series, though.

honestly despite the laughable writing and hackneyed dialogue if every single book was in one big one a la The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide I'd probably buy it and read it.

Man, I'm a bad Animorphs fan.
    I can't remember Seerow's Kindness.

Unless that was the thing where non-Andalites weren't supposed to be able to morph.

Dude. It's never "about" the theme. The theme just adds flavor.
Unless it's the Heroes one, where you had variations on similar powers based on characters.
Really, you don't need to know anything about the theme.

It helps, but it's not like you won't get how to play. The Heroes one is the only one I can think of, that SE has done, where you needed to know the source. And that was just because so much was taken from the show.

I firmly believe that a well-crafted narration is the backbone of any Phalla, and if every day a simple kill list was posted I wouldn't bother participating. So I'm a big theme guy.

EDIT: but yeah mostly knowledge of the source is unnecessary
