So I see That all the big 'geek' films will be played.
The Wizard!
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
The Last Starfighter
8Bit
Tron
The Video Game Revolution
I know that I will not be able to see any of these movies, because I'll be at both concerts. But I would have like to have seen 'Pirates of Silicon Valley' on the list too.
If you'll notice, all the flicks being shown are a subgenre of "Geek" movies, specifically they are all based on, about, or involve video games.
While I suppose Wargames technically involves computer games (the reason Broderick's character contacts WOPR in the first place) that movie is really more about the unease of the cold war and how one small action could set off a chain reaction that could destroy the world.
Some flicks I think would fit in nicely for next year are The King of Kong, Grandma's Boy, or perhaps break out into more general geeky topics, a showing of Nerdcore Rising?

Anyone else?
Street fighter 2, the animated movie?
I smell a new event: Video Game Movie Gauntlet. Mortal Kombat, Mario Bros., Resident Evil, Street Fighter...all in a row.
As much as I don't want to miss the concerts, the thought of seeing The Last Starfighter on a big screen in a room packed with fellow geeks is enough to make me say 'Fuck the concerts', at least for one night anyways. I'd like to watch Tron as well, but I'm not missing both concerts.
