    Carlos Mencia really sucks.

He's the absolute prime example of double standard racism in north american society.

Dave Chapelle's racism schtick got tired two episodes in. That's all he's got. He's not funny.

We should have a discussion thread about the Big Lebowski.

That was the best thing John Goodman has ever done.

Even though he only has a bit role, he's brilliant in O Brother, Where Art Thou? (Which, coincidentally, I watched earlier today)

Fuck, let's have a Coen Brothers thread.

You are right there, and I'm thankful for the intelligent comment without the bite.

I'll admit, though I certainly don't have to, this being the internet and all, that I didn't check the discussion going on in the AWOOOOOO thread before posting this, but I DID scan for a related topic. I didn't post first off. My first instinct wasn't to get the most attention, it was to find out OTHER'S thoughts. I'm the only one I know who's played and beaten the game. I have NO one to talk seriously about this one issue.

Had I seen a board specifically for Bioshock, or a sticky designated as the discussion thread, I'd have been guided, as if by an overhead arrow, but that wasn't the case, and there were no pre-existing "overrated" threads I saw.

And I rightful diagnosed, anyhow, AWOOOOO as a nonsense thread. What of the recent activity has much at all to do with Bioshock in there? What better a chance in there than here did I have to start a legitimate thought conversation as per whether or not Bioshock can already be prescribed GOTY?

EDIT: Yes, sarcasm. I'll spell it out, because it may not have been clear. I may have just been trying to get attention.

Actually, discussion of the game is running pretty rampant in there. It's a beautiful thing that tends to happen in discussion threads. And since you've beaten it, you get to click all the pretty spoiler tags too.

JamesKeenan, if I may offer some constructive critisism?

I'd walk away. Post your original thesis in the bioshock thread, see if it gets any reply, and leave it at that.

Most of the people posting in this thread have violated the forum rules as is, and it will probably be locked by the first mod that notices it. So no matter what happens from here, this thread is stillborn.

Your thoughts in the first post are quite thought-provoking, coming from a guy who has not played Bioshock. In fact, I checked the bioshock thread to see if you had posted them there, because they do deserve to be discussed.

But this thread is over, I hate to say.

See, I missed that kind of engaging activity. I only ever found use for a few hacking plasmids. The hacking mini-game *was* out of character for the mood of the game, was admitted by one of the lead designers. However, didn't really start to get bored of it until near the end. It was easy, I don't remember dying once from it, I think I only even screwed up once and sounded an alarm, most of my weapons I was able to upgrade, though I may have missed a few terminals, and combat came naturally.

Granted I played on medium because I needed to return it eventually, and I wasn't sure I'd even have the time to beat it if I went through on hard. I really was expecting a lot. So maybe on Hard I've have been a little more strapped for cash. As it was I didn't really miss out on anything. I even only harvested a few girls, which I regret, because I didn't know there were only two endings.
