SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS

I saw this game for $20, decided I was going to buy it because I remember all the hype about it before it came out. After a coupon, I got it down to $15.

Bringing it home and asking some people though, as well as looking at some game review sites, I see that it didn't exactly garner great reviews.

So, I come to G&T for my answer. I know you guys love DS games, but honestly, tell me, is this game worth it? It's still in its shrinkwrap so I could very easily bring it back to the store and get a refund if the reviews are indeed right.

I haven't played this game but the Neo-geo Pockt colour games were awesome, This game though changed the mechanics of the card game ruining it for many.

It's just ok. Just make sure it's not one of the copies of the game that was broken, and by broken I mean that you couldn't finish the game.

if you liked the originals, you might be able to tolerate this.

on its own, it's pretty terrible though.

I need to send away for the fixed cart of this so I can sell my copy on ebay or whatever.

The only appeal the game has is the card art, and the ridiculous amount of cameos.

There isn't a story worth mentioning.

Shame, I really thought it was something when I picked it up. I didn't know it turned into crap.

If you played the NeoGeo Pocket version than it is decent.

If you didn't, you better be a huge, huge, huge fan of both cardgames and SNK/Capcom to find it worth it.

They messed it up so bad and because of this, it almost assures that it will never get another sequel.

It's not that it's terrible, it just screams wasted potential. It's a decent time-killer at best.

And yeah, I was hyped for it also(never played the original).

Got it the day it came out; returned it when I heard of the glitch.

I could care less about a reissue; fool me once, etc.

My girlfriend and I played the original so much the cartridge died.

I'll let you decide if the original was genius or not.
