    A guy I have hung out with a couple of times (Who is also sort semi-famous, I guess), watched the final cut of There Will be Blood at P.T. Anderson's house, in the dude's personal goddamn theater. My jealousy was nearly intense enough to manifest physically and strangle the shitlicker.

    I mean, the movie already looked good, but damn. I love that guy a whole bunch.

    All the Real Girls was the only time I have ever seen a movie and felt like a was watching a biography of my own life that just so happened to be about events that had never actually transpired.

    There's nothing in the trailer that isn't mirrored by reality. Yes, young people joining the military are that naive, politicians are so very retarded, and journalists are old vaginas.

    Well obviously. But the movie is insulting the audiences intelligence with absolutely no subtlety in it's message. It's just here to tell us what we already know about the way the government is working right now- shoving in our face the fact that things need to change and that our govt. fucked up etc.

    Man, what the fuck? I know that the Holocaust is bad by heart that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy Schindler's List. I didn't, but not because of that. I don't think I've seen a movie in the last six years that made me go "Oh man that shit opened my eyes to how life really is!" so I don't see it as a prerequisite for getting enjoyment out of one. I go to the theater for to see an interesting subject get finely crafted into a piece of cinema, and I trust Robert Redford to do something good with this.

    Having seen Shoot Em Up during a night of Comic Con:

    Fucking amazing (moderately plotless) thrill ride that absolutely does not stop from beginning to end (maybe 3 short short pauses.)

    It is so ridiculously over the top your head will likely explode.

    If you want action that's the movie to see.
