    heh, i kept an eye out on the invitations i gave out... for a while. i think i'm about 3 for 10 as far as successful invites go. 5 out of 10 just never used them and the other 2 obviously didn't understand how ratios work riiiight up until they were banned.

    Hehe. Considering how long I've been around and how much time I spend here, I almost never change my sig/avatar. Barring minor variations, I think I've only had two or so of each.

    My first avatar was a pic of the birds on the power line from one of the Pixar shorts.

    I also remember some kind of artillery-piece being referred to as a "Thumper", but I think that was Battletech and not real (though if I remember right the Long Tom is both real and Battletech).

    I was thinking exactly the same thing.
