The new forums will be named Coin Return (based on the most recent
vote)! You can check on the status and timeline of the transition to the new forums
here.
The Guiding Principles and New Rules
document is now in effect.
The current plan is to attempt to start the Holiday Forums on December 23rd sometime during the day. During this time, the Future State Planning Center will remain open. The Holiday Forum merge will last (if Vanilla cooperates) until January 3rd.

Edit: My favorite ship was the clipper, stripped of everything but a bomb launcher (with one bomb) and a couple of proton canons...
That one bomb would disable a corvette if you managed to make it hit.

I was a tad older than the target audience when it came out, but I played it anyway.
Also: anyone remember a game called Brandon's Lunchbox? I think that's what it was called anyway. It was a kids' game. I just want to know if someone else out there played it.
Same damn thing happened to me.
I discovered the internet...oh, I'd say around 1993 or '94. My dad had it hooked up. I remember him telling us not to click the AOL logo. 'Twas back when they charged...per minute? Or something.
Ridiculous. They'd be making bank nowadays.
Also, I remember using MS Paint and thinking it was the neatest thing.
So I guess I was 9 or so when I discovered the internets.
