I think it was on the PC, too.

I played a bit of Maniac Mansion on the NES but it was a bit too complicated for me at the time.

    I remember my first time.

I was visiting the city from my hometown.

I walked into a Coffee shop that had computers in it.

I walked in and asked, "Do you guys have that....that INTERNET? thing here?"

That one bomb would disable a corvette if you managed to make it hit.

I loved playing those games where you had to type in the commands. I don't remember any of their names, but I remember the frustration (due to my tiny vocabulary) very well.

    >move rock
    I can't do that.

    >move stone
    I can't do that.

    >move big thing
    I can't do that.

    Thank you for playing!

i spent many many hours playing Nuke Snake on our old mac

    NukeShot.gif

    does anyone know this game?
    it was so good
especially 2 players on one keyboard style
basically theres the red thing and the blue thing and you control one and try to kill the other by shooting them with regular bullets or rockets which destroy surrounding blocks
and you can give them tails like in snake but they only die if you shoot the head

oh and i almost forgot those pink things they shoot bullets all over the place

There was a little man who lived inside my Commodore 64.

I could only communicate with him by means of special software.

He took a shower a total of like three times, ever. When it happened I'd call my whole family to gather around to prove it was possible.

when I was young my dad told me that computers could take your picture

he told me to smile at the computer monitor

and then he was all "oh! here comes your picture"

and he loaded up a picture of a monkey on the screen

Same damn thing happened to me.

I discovered the internet...oh, I'd say around 1993 or '94. My dad had it hooked up. I remember him telling us not to click the AOL logo. 'Twas back when they charged...per minute? Or something.

Ridiculous. They'd be making bank nowadays.

Also, I remember using MS Paint and thinking it was the neatest thing.

So I guess I was 9 or so when I discovered the internets.
