Indeed, lunch time isn't for a couple hours yet. Croissant + canned ravioli ftw!

It’s not too bad, although she’s probably a little old for it. Compared to the things dredged up in SE’s threads on the subject, though...

Yah, ok, it's not *that* horrible on the grand scale of things, but still -- she's on PA, you'd expect better. It would be like if Elki decided to dress up as Michael Jackson.

So was I. But I eventually discovered that I was indoctrinated into nonsense and abandoned it as useless.

I'm pretty sure most people who are indoctrinated completely, not just with the superficial rites, don't leave because they've never had anything happen to them that shake their beliefs or don't really believe but get something else out of the whole church experience.

I'm pretty sure those people need to go outside.

I’d like a picture of that.

Why would this not be the case? What's so hard about believing a disenfranchised Catholic who smokes a lot of pot is more likely to chuckle than get angry at people for believing silly things?

edit 2: Or are you simply forgetting that south/central Ohio isn't the east coast?

What high horse? I don't believe I've even expressed an opinion other than that it is possible in a literal sense to find words other than "lie" and "fairytale" in the English language to refer to religious doctrine.

Frankly I find this kind of boring and trite. You don't like people who hold ideas you consider invalid, especially when it results in harm coming to others. Like that is somehow exceptional or worth talking about. You might as well say that you like breathing and are tired when you don't get enough sleep. Duh.

Did you not read your post? Because that's the only way I can figure you think this response follows from the conversation. Hint: there was a part where you tried to tell me what I feel, and in response I told you what I actually feel, being more the expert on the subject of my emotions than some dude in a glass tube.

Hm, there's this cute girl in class, but she doesn't say much to anyone. Just enough to be considered normal and what not, but not really talkative. Kinda want to know her better, but she's probably out of my league/not interested in getting to know other people.

Sab, I already talk to her every now and then and we greet each other, but it's more smalltalk than anything else. She does the same with other people in class, she's nice enough and smiles enough, but it doesn't seem like she's really interested in sharing anything with these people.
