But in the sequel, the US is fine and dandy (in their country) and the only ones at risk are the ones in the London quarantine zone. 28 Weeks Later never alluded to the stated US infection in 28 Days Later.

I could be wrong but if you're talking about the TV broadcasts in the beginning of Days, those only said something like "mass panic" and what, nothing about actual infection.
And then they went on to talk about Britain being quarantined which makes perfect sense if the virus hasn't gotten out yet.

I read that as "Zombies vs. the Combine war machine" and suddenly wanted a Half-Life 2 movie. Possibly done by the folks who brought us Children of Men.
Anyone hear any word on when the Day Of The Dead remake and Diary Of The Dead is supposed to come out? Heard it was supposed to be sometime around now for both movies. I really wanna see Diary Of The Dead, if just to see if Romero went with a 'Blair Witch Project' filming style for the movie.

Only the UK was infected. This was quite obvious.
In the second movie, the virus is spread to mainland Europe via Carriers (this is also how America could get infected eventually).
The director of the third movie, which has no title yet, said that it would probably be set in Russia.
So yeah.
Also, one of the grad students this year is making a film about a zombie vagina entitled "Zomgina".
I wanted to volunteer on it but I was too busy.

Yes, it is. The day of the shoot, the stuntman was having stomach problems, so the zombie was played by the shark's trainer.
