Is Ganryu in the game? He's my favorite character, my second being Armor King.

Everybody in DR is there. I've seen a screenshot from one of the arcade machines showing the character select, not to mention seeing it in a lot of the videos as they choose their characters. Her icon is there. I've even seen a video with her.
If you look up youtube you'll probably find it, she was versing Lee.

Here's one of her versus Law, was taken two days after release of game in japan:

(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.

My friend is picking up a MvC2 Arcade machine, he was told he could also load a few other games on there. Guilty Gear Accent Core is like 2Gs.

I wonder how much a TK6 machine would run for...

I just have to say that reading the PA forums has exponentially increased my respect for top tier players in fighting games. It's astonishing how out of my league (and out of most anyone's league) you guys are. It really is an entire lexicon of tactical memorization and execution that is staggering to someone who only plays fighting games casually. Until I started browsing this forum and watching championship players on Youtube I thought a 'good' player was someone who didn't button mash, knew how to counter throws, and realized the difference between high and low blocks.

Seriously, kudos guys. It's really cool to read these threads because I know there's so much you guys take for granted about which I'm completely ignorant.

How's Law? I don't play Tekken competitively but I'm always interested in how Law fares (mainly because I like my Bruce Lee characters :^:) in competition.

Organichu: we're not too technical compared to the likes of SRK (although I haven't visited that site in months, it may have gone downhill since) and the now-dead Gamecombos.com, god the level of depth some of the posters get into the gameplay mechanics there made my head reel at times.

On my post on dfpradio.com there is a video... which has some Law footage verse Marduk. It's hard to say wether he will be good or not because everything is new. And at any time NAMCO could just go and update T6. But I'll tell you right now. Marduk seems slower!

@BakerIsBored: I stated the exact price in my post on dfp as well. It's "I can't believe it's not butter! EXPENSIVE!"

    Yes I see that. $36,229.72 USD ( I like the 72 cents... bastards )

So if I bought one of these and charged people 25 cents to play (that’s what my local arcade charges for every machine). It would take 144919 quarters to break even. I don't see how arcades make money D:

+ wear and tear on the machine and replacing buttons/joysticks.

Well I guess I'll have to stick to waiting for the PS3 build and work on getting me some joysticks for the PS3.

Well it is nice to dream! But first off you better up ya' price. On average the game here are 100 a yen. So that's about a dollar a game.

As for how the game centers make money. That's a good question but many of the game centers are owned by SEGA/NAMCO/CAPCOM but as for the mom and pop gamecenters. That is a very good question. (scratches beard like GEN in Alpha 3)

I've worked for two arcades, so I can answer this one for you. Arcade games do not make money. None. At all. Ticket games and rides make money.
