Well, they didn't decide to move towards melee stats and away from spelldamage until around patch 2.3 time. And the reason they gave for not retroactively changing tiered/arena sets was something along the lines of, "People knew what they were getting." Despite the fact that there was no other real choice available and now the old stats are somewhat subpar for the new-and-improved 2.3 retribution style.

Well to play the Devil's Advocate here, sometimes... make that most times that you sincerely ask for any kind of advice concerning something in WoW, you either not given a response at all, or you are ridiculed and debased by 10 different people for being a "lolnub". So, sometimes people can feel intimidated from asking for help, because 9 times out of 10, you know exactly what kind of response you are going to get.
But that still doesn't stop me from calling out the retards, and when I am called a retard for whatever reason, if the statement is well founded on something I did or did not do, it actually does help me learn, no matter how insulting it may have been.
Because I didn't feel like putting up with the abuse from asking how to play, my first few times in EotS saw me standing at one of the towers watching how the game was played.
I got lucky enough one game where the alliance had three towers pretty early and the horde kept scoring with the flag. Because they only had one tower the alliance was gaining ground on them. Would have won too but people decided they had to score and stopped defending towers so we dropped to one tower and horde kept scoring, didn't take them long to catch us and then win.

I don't mind people who yell and scream all that much, if it is obnoxious enough I right click on their name to ignore them.
But it would be nice if more people in BGs actually made an effort to win instead of only being there for the kills.
When I went into the BGs for the first time back in the day I had no idea what I was supposed to do. I didn't know the map or the objectives. And people like Mgcw made sure I knew just how stupid I was not to know these things already whenever I asked what I should be doing.
So I swore off BGs for a long time. When 2.0 was released I took my hunter in to grind for the bow and had fun. I knew what I was doing and generally I was one of the few Alliance players in AB that worked co-operatively and actually tried to win. The fact that we never did didn't really bother me that much. But I always write off people who act like Mgcw as the impotent fucks they are. No one is good at everything and a lot of players simply don't know the BG, regardless of how long it's been available. I have done EOTS like, three times. The first time I went into it was a couple months ago. I didn't know the objectives or the map.
But hey, Mgcw, it's been there for 10 months+, I must just be fucking retarded to not get it, right?
