I also wonder, why is it so dead in here? Alot of you guys haven't updated in quite some time ^^ I've stopped posting every day because alot of my shots just aren't interesting at all. So I post the ones I like, rest are for Flickr only..
Anyone wanna do a weekly theme? I am proposing "first thing in the morning" (take your shot before you get all pretty for the day) and proposing we do it from Monday through Friday this week. Anyone interested?

I suggest interesting hats week, where we all wear our most interesting hats... or maybe we could have like interesting hats tuesdays. and every tuesday we wear interesting hats.
A weekly theme that we only have to observe on one day would be cool. Also, the day should not be fixed since itmight not fit into everyone's schedule.

Hah, you really should be asking what I didn't do to it. Lightroom is my whore. But yeah, lots and lots of contrast followed by saturation then selective colored saturations mainly just red, also some adjustments in Blacks and Recovery. Again all done in lightroom. Oh yea as well as Clarity.
This was yesterday before I got my haircut. It was intended to end up a composite of before and after, but the sun set while my hair was getting cut and the after didnt work out.

I am down with drinks, or having a weekly theme where we have to comply for one shot out of the week at least. But I'll do drinks for a week (and I'll do it every day, so nyah!)
I have a cool idea for my 365. I was thinking about it last night before I went to bed. I'm not a photographer at all, just an illustrator, but I like the ideas of photos documenting things.
So heres the thing. This will all start at 6:00 AM one day, probably Feb. 1st. Then, every day, I'll take another picture, 5 minutes after the last one. Hard to explain without an example:
1st day - Taking a picture at 6:00 AM
2nd day - Picture at 6:05 AM
3rd day - Picture at 6:10 AM
and so on and so on. So, at the end of my 365, I would have photos following me though "one day" stretched out over the whole year. I think it sounds cool but I want to make sure I'm committed before I start it.

It sounds like a cool day but uh... 5 minute increments from midnight = 288 such increments. Not 365.

there's 1440 minutes in one day
1440/365 = 3.95
so 6:00, 6:03:57, 6:07:54, etc...
