2007 Graphic Violence Awards

Hey guys, now’s the time of year where everyone takes a look back at what happened and arbitrarily decides if stuff that came out was awesome or terrible, then puts said stuff into lists or gives things awards based upon such decisions! So I figured it’s time for us here at Graphic Violence to take a crack at it.

So what’s going to happen is we are going to have a nomination process for a number of categories. I’m going to list some categories and open a nomination thread, at least one a week until we get through all of them, and then once I have the final nominations in, we’ll put it to a vote.

(Also I don't think there's much competition for death of the year, honestly)

I think that's kinda the NON-BIG TWO category's point.

Although since Invincible falls under it I'm not sure.

Best reveal could be another good one.

As would Best Death somewhat now that I think about it.

The Eisner's have categories for Artist and Cover Artist and I'll be damned if the GV Awards don't.

I have terrible memory for the dates of stuff happening in comics. Something I think happened last year was 10 years ago and stuff I think was 5 years ago was 7 months.


I'll probably just vote along with stuff other people nominate.

As for nominations, MODOK's 11, Shazam! and the Monster Society of Evil, and (if it counts) Metal Men for miniseries, and Booster Gold for best new series, and Sinestro Corps for Best Event.
