Is there an email thing I can subscribe to that will send me trade paperback solicitations? Particularly for Marvel?

Same question for new releases (yes I realise they get posted here too)

Hi Guys I have a friend thats looking for a series he read once.

Ready for a game of: "I giveyou vague recolections, you see if you know what he's on about"?

What he remembers is astronaughts, a superman-esque hero called "The High", a japanese guy made of vapour that orgasms every few moments (I'm thinking that this might jog your memory...)

    Anyone know?

My google fu either returns nothing, or becomes a rabbit hole that I dont want to fall down...

    It was Warren Ellis' Stormwatch.

You sir, are a scholar and a gentleman.

Would that be different from the old Image comics stormwatch?

It's the same series, but Ellis came along and pretty much completely reinvented the book. His run on the book is available in five trade paperbacks.

And this continues in The Authority right? Are they worth looking into?

Yes. Just stick to the Authority stuff written by Warren Ellis or Mark Millar. It's gone through a bunch of false starts lately, none of which have been very good.

Here's a question, I have the first two issues of this spiderman mini series called "With Great Power", has that hardish type cover making it a buck more then normal comics. Did something happen to it or did I just completely miss the other issues at the comic book store?

I thought I saw an issue of it on the shelves recently, but I dropped it after number 1 so I'm not really sure.

Upon checking Heavy Ink it looks like the first three issues have come out, but issues four and five are behind schedule. Probably due to the artist, Tony Harris, who also works on the ongoing Ex Machina.

Ex Machina should take precedence anyway

Then I guess I should look for the third issue when I go to the shop then, I was just wondering if it randomly got cancelled or something.

Does anybody use Twitter on here? I just set up an account to give it a whirl. Seems like it would be a good spot to chat random comic shit whenever I'm bored or want to read what others are doing.
