Lost Boys 2: The Tribe

So yeah, after waiting for 20 years, they're finally doing a sequel to the Lost Boys. What was once going to be a straight to video flop with a bunch of no names is now going to be a straight to video/theatrical release hit with Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander... (the notorious Frog Brothers)

So here's the deal. It's coming out this year, and Warner Bros is still deciding weather or not they want a theatrical release. If the interest seems high enough they're going to do a theatre release, and based off of the money earned, a two picture deal has been signed.

There's a lot of controversy surrounding the movie, because on that Horrible A&E reality show "The Two Coreys", popular and still working actor and peta spokesman Corey Feldman, with his hot wife beside him, told former drug addict and general degenerate Corey Haim that he was offered a part in the Lost Boys, a bit part, but didn't take it because they didn't contact Haim as well. Haim broke into tears becaue he realized his career was over. Flash foward six months and apparently that was all a lie, because Feldman is the star of the new movie, which has a moderate budget and a decent screenplay from early critic reports. Haim was also offered a sizeable role in the movie, but has since "turned down the offer".

First, this movie is going to be awesome. Second, it's been comfirmed that both the boardwalk band and the half naked saxaphone player will be returning for a cameo appearance.

Here's some pictures of the lost boys circa 1987, just to get you pumped up, and more set pics will be coming in as I get them...

I loved that movie. Grandpa was awesome. Gotta love how he saves the day by crashing his truck through his own house.

    That's a negative, sergeant.

Also, does Corey Feldman look exactly the same or is something wrong with that picture?

While it's pretty much guaranteed that my sister will love this news, I can't say I ever really enjoyed The Lost Boys. That said, there's a lot of people who love it and it's probably a good thing that they're getting a follow-up.

Wow that's some extensive corpse revival for this movie. Is it going to be like them going around killing vampires? Because Supernatural already does that, but better...

you shut your filthy pie hole and pay respect to one of the best movies of all time, and it's undoubtably amazing sequels that are coming soon to a theatre (or blockbuster) near you..

    (also, supernatural ftw... I agree)

That would be cool, but they already have a pretty large budget for the show (the effects never look super cheesy), I'd just prefer more supernatural.

    Yes the ultimate redx movie.

I just can't see how a sequel to a strange horror/comedy from the 80s can be anything but god damn awful. We are all older now we know Feldman can't act.

I loved the original when I was younger.

I'm not sure how I feel about a sequel 20 years later, but I shall remain quietly hopeful until Uwe Boll is attached to the project.

Well, he won't be, 'cause it's not a video game lisence he can violate, but I'm just sayin'...

actually, and as much as I hate 80's hasbens, he was the only one to keep a decent career. He racked up some fair bit parts, kept his royalties and didn't spend everything on blow, he runs some successful businesses. THe only reason he did that shitty reality show is because haim needed the fifteen minutes. Anyone with a wife that hot can't be all that bad

It's the weirdest movie ever to watch. I loved it because it seemed to be like it captured the mindset of being immature - all the over the top lines and grave serious business felt like the things I'd come up with when I was a kid only it was over the top and somehow awesome and I don't know why.
It's like The Monster Squad without the nards and the homophobia: pure awesome and pure stupid, synthesized together as only the '80s could do.
