Watching the other videos, it looks like that guy is primarily a falco player, which might explain it a little bit. You can definitely tell it looks like he wants to stand back and use a blaster quite often.

Actually, the Pikachu being from yellow was a holdover from the first sig, when everything looked like a platformer character. I used a newer Jigglypuff because that one looks terrible, kind of like why I use the Peach sprite from Mario 2 rather than from the first game.
Just to check, I went 10 pages into that and didn't find a single image of SMB1 Luigi.
Is a GIS for "Luigi" supposed to actually be helpful here?
A google search for "Super Mario Bros Luigi sprite" does the trick.
The very first, original SMB game, Luigi was indeed dressed in a white cap, white overalls, and green shirt. Fire Luigi looked exactly the same as Fire Mario.
However, in the GB port Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Luigi's sprite is green cap, green overalls, and brown shirt. Fire Luigi is the white version above.
So that's probably where the confusion is. And Cokomon's pic is correct, that is exactly how Luigi looked in the very first game. Despite what is now the defacto standard colour for him.

It would probably be unfair for the Team mode if two people were in the same room, I guess, but it would still be a lot cooler to play with a friend against random people.

The Metal Gear selection is still really awesome though.
I'm kind of jonesin to hear the remixes of SMB Underwater, Midna's Desperation, Vs. Marx, and the Golden Sun battle medley, myself.
