Ugh, what kind of world do we live in where they make Transformers toys that don't transform? That's the whole point people! I saw these in stores yesterday, and wanted to share my righteous indignation
On the other hand, best Transformers product or bestest Transformers product?
So the store near my place just got the Son of Batman toys in. I'm pretty damn happy with the Joker and Batman, debating getting the others still.
Man Bat is optional, but you need to get Robin. He really is a great figure.
On another note, I recommend the new Shazam Family figures that came out this week. I passed on them, Thursday, though I'll probably pick them up next week. Really good sculpts and near perfect paint apps from the ones I saw.
just curious, am i the only one that's been majorly disappointed with the marvel toys since hasbro took the license? (in regards to sculpts, paint jobs, plastic grade, character selection, etc.)
Also, with Hasbro having Marvel, where in the hell are my g.i. joe-style 5" marvel figures to go with my old street fighter, mortal kombat....
Don't you knock Stilt-Man. I have a special place in my heart for him. But I don't think they've ever made a good full size figure of him, or ever will.
In other news, got the Dark Victory Scarecrow and Gordon from the mall today. The boxes had been mauled to death so they were marked down to five bucks each. The figures are still intact and look good, though.

...and the corps?
I've been fairly vocal about Hasbro's use of the Marvel license. It's sucked.
As for 5" scale figures, they used that scale for their Spider-Man 3 figures. Reaction to them was less than stellar, so they may or may not continue with the scale.
this thread made me start buying action figures, I am excited
I am looking for a good superman that will fit in with my Batman and Son Batman and Red Son Superman, any recommendations?
Okay so Keith posted this in fucking August but I'm catching up on this thread and what he posted made me think of NECA's Castlevania line. I love NECA's stuff.
NECA did both but I like the second a little more.

The best Superman DC Direct made was from the 'JLA' line they did a few years back (which was later rereleased multiple times, some with different headsculpts).
Unfortunately, he's not quite "measuring up" in terms of height these days, so he's starting to become slightly shorter, or just as tall as some of the newer figures being released. Now I don't know about you, but in my book, Superman should be at least a half head taller than most "normal" heroes.
So for a proper fit with Batman from the Batman and Son line, I suggest trying to get your hands on Superman frmo the 'Justice' line. He can be difficult to get at a decent price at times, but he was recently rereleased in the Justice Box set (Green Lantern, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman) which goes for about $50. OR, a cheaper option would be to go with the "John Byrne Superman" figure. It's basically a Justice Superman body with a new headsculpt. You can get him for under $20 on eBay.
So me and my friends are doing a secret santa this year. I pulled the name of my friend who's a huge comic book fan, more specifically, a Marvel fan. He's got more action figures then I care to count, but I thought I'd get him one of those sweet mini-busts. I need help deciding which one, though.
I'd want Taskmaster because he's my favorite character of the three, but obviously Sentinel or Zemo would be better if he likes either of those two more.
Am I displaying my shocking ignorance when I ask why he has a red mask instead of a blue one? He looks like of odd, like he has just lost a lot of weight really quickly. I'm guessing that's how they looked in the original comic?
Fair enough, although I can see why they later changed it so they had different colours. It must have been annoying having four indistinguishable characters who could only be identified by stuff they were holding.

It's as big as my head and so delightfully absurd

[X] Doc Ock
[X] Doctor Doom
[] Black Adam
[X] Joker
[] Stilt-Man
PS - I'm going to get Robin right now because of you.
No Black Adam, but you can check eBay for the Justice Black Adam (very good as well) or the original DC Direct Adam, which isn't as great.

you can get a stilt man heroclix figure but I think they go for a bit more than most
Stiltman was one of my first pulls!
And who's funeral produced one of the better issues of a marvel comic I've read all year?

Dount you'll ever see them in that style. If you like Indiana Jones, Series 1 will be out soon, using the same style.
