    re-release that is.

Oh ok, I heard about that but never got around to seein it. Did they change stuff?

Very minimal stuff. They included a small scene that was originally cut where Elliot gives ET a bath, and in that scene ET is CG. There might have been a couple other CG moments, I can't remember. They replaced the agents' guns with walkie-talkies for some reason.

So really trivial stuff that doesn't impact much of anything, but also kind of "why did they even bother changing it?" in a head-scratcher sort of way.

From what I recall, Spielberg said that the movie was supposed to be nonviolent, nontheatening. Do you think they would have really started shooting at a 8-year old and his pet alien?

Well, I would at least expect them to have guns. That's like Secret Government Agent 101.

Not that I'm complaining. People who got upset with it are seriously taking trivial stuff like that too seriously. I happen to own it.

I should have gotten the replica of Indy's hat when I went to Florida. I thought 50 dollars was too extravagant, but it is a damn nice hat.

Oh hey, it does say Roswell in the trailer.

Which makes sense, I guess, since it was pretty recent. About ten years before the movie?

    Also I love Shia Labouf.

also let me point something out about the difference between Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Star Wars Prequels = some shitty actors and one or two good ones.

Indiana Jones is still fucking Harrison Ford.

this is why i have hope.

Original Star Wars had a lot of actors who weren't, like, big-name stars. But yes, Ford should know how to play the character.

Whenever I see Air Force One it just makes me think of Indiana Jones: The President: The Movie: They Hijacked my Damn Plane

I try to avoid seeing that movie. God, it was awful.

They also had Elliot's mom call him a 'cat burglar' or something instead of a 'terrorist' when he tries to go out in the black hoodie get-up.

Nothing that actually affected the plot, but it sticks out a little.

Greedo shoots first, cops carry shotguns, etc...

If the trailer is any indication, they changed the feel a lot. I hope the trailer isn't indicative of the direction they're taking. It just doesn't feel like Indiana Jones.

I'll see it no matter what, probably opening weekend even, just because it's Indiana Jones.

Hell, I'll watch and enjoy anything that gives Ford a large enough part, and having Lucas and Spielberg doing their thing can't hurt, so long as George is on a leash.

Sallah's not in this, neither is Brody (seeing as he's been dead for over fifteen years).

The Ravenwoods are supposed to be in it, though... so I guess that's good.

Still, I mean, no Sallah? I don't know.

Same. You ever begin to cry during a trailer because you haven't blinked for a minute or two, that's how you know you have to see it.
