yeah i'm sorry but i can see no way this will be anything but awesome.

it is indiana jones. the finest movie franchise in history.

This is exactly what some people may have thought about Star Wars, dude. "How can you fuck up Darth Vader?"

Well, here's how. Here are three films showing you exactly the optimal way to fuck up Darth Vader.

The important difference here is that George Lucas only directed Star Wars a New Hope. Whereas Steven Spielberg is the director of all Indiana Jones movies.

So Indiana Jones 4 has a lot more going for it than The star wars prequels.

in that a new hope could have been a fluke. but all 3 indy films is much less likely to have been.

I agree, it is less likely that this will be completely cocked up. I'm still shocked at how bad a job Lucas did with Star Wars.

I'm just saying that it is possible. Not that it's overwhelmingly likely, just that it's possible.

also let me point something out about the difference between Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Star Wars Prequels = some shitty actors and one or two good ones.

Indiana Jones is still fucking Harrison Ford.

this is why i have hope.

Original Star Wars had a lot of actors who weren't, like, big-name stars. But yes, Ford should know how to play the character.

    oh it's certainly possible.

the thing is i don't want to dwell on the negative here. to me it's a new indiana jones movie and that in and of itself is just awesome.

because as much as i used to love star wars, indiana jones is my all-time favourite movie franchise.

course, he'll probably want to re-do all the special effects.

    insert a few CGI characters

like, Bellach will be a 9 foot tall mutant space slug.

Short-round will be a Jawa and etc etc..

You think I got time to discuss the pros and cons of Indiana Jones returning to the big screen? You think an old man and his whip are on my mind right now? You think I even give a shit if he fucks space harlots on the Arc of the Covenant while plugging their tight, blue assholes with mystic ribbed glow in the dark Hindu stones? Fuck no. In case you didn't notice, there's this little thing called Valentine's Day and it's going on right now. So if you think I'm going to waste as much as a single fucking neuron on this shit you got another thing coming pal, 'cause I got me a towel, some lube and more unwatched pornography than an underground Dionysus worshiping German sex cult hiding from Interpol in the Harz Mountains, losers!

Having compared the DVD and Blu-ray editions of Fifth Element, I can say with certainty that there is a noticeable difference in quality.

And so, Indiana Jones on Blu-ray would be fucking awesome. Especially on my 47-inch widescreen 1080p television.

It would also rock for Lucas to re-release all the films in theaters, but for some unknown reason he has failed to do that, and so Blu-ray would be the next best option IMO.

Very minimal stuff. They included a small scene that was originally cut where Elliot gives ET a bath, and in that scene ET is CG. There might have been a couple other CG moments, I can't remember. They replaced the agents' guns with walkie-talkies for some reason.

So really trivial stuff that doesn't impact much of anything, but also kind of "why did they even bother changing it?" in a head-scratcher sort of way.

From what I recall, Spielberg said that the movie was supposed to be nonviolent, nontheatening. Do you think they would have really started shooting at a 8-year old and his pet alien?
