Who could you sing with a wiimote?

Besides, GH is on Wii. Disney could have ponied up a little cash for propietary rights and gave the option of a guitar. A multi-million dollar company, and it's too much a hassle to use GH periphials.

90% chance of seeing the naked brothers band. 100% them not being naked.

Actually 0% - the Naked Brother Band are a Nickolodeon property - Disney would be Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana and High School Musical.

EDIT: Yes, it's sad that I know that but I have a 3 yr old that watches Disney and Nick...

Oops, you're right. Still though, there's a youtube video of a 9 year old playing Guitar hero and 5 starring songs, why wouldn't a 10-12 year old not be able to do something similar, even though a little easier?

Kidz Bop commercials are endlessly entertaining.

I've failed to see one yet that didn't feature a song with themes or lyrics that were entirely inappropriate for kidz.

But hey, as long as a chorus of kidz is singing it, NiN's 'Closer' is a perfect song for children!

    Edit: Inappropriate 's's.

I know they had a Nelly Furtado song on there that was about having sex with someone you have no feelings for and it was largely left alone except for one line.

Also, if you want to be freaked out, there is a CD of NIN's greatest hits, but all of them are like a lullaby.

That's nothing. A friend of mine got me a cover of Closer done by "Nine Inch Richards" (an Aussie comedy goof, I think) that sounds like an inbred redneck hoedown.

Complete with various barnyard animal noises after "I want to fuck you like an animal."

Yeah, gives a slightly different meaning to that song.

We've already been over this. The Wii Remote and Nunchuck do a pretty good job at simulating guitar and drums. Sure, it won't be as deep as Rock Band, but does it really need to be?

The game is called Ultimate Band.

If you're fine looking like a complete tool airguitaring with a remote, than I'm sure it will be adequate. If you're playing it on the DS, then you're in a completely different circle of hell, wherein you must play your instrument with a stylus.

I think you're expecting WAY too much for a Disney-made game aimed mainly at the under 10 set. This game is not for people who already love Rock Band.

Also, you look like just as big of a tool playing with a toy plastic guitar as you would air guitaring with a Wii Remote and Nunchuck.

He said it was an "established property" that he was "amazed that they let him work on", so it'd have to be something old.

I'm holding out for Aladdin. Think about it: sneaking through a massive and detailed Arabian city. At night. While singing. The Genie would be wearing sunglasses the whole time. You know you'd buy it.

If it is Aladdin, I'd be all-freaking-over it. If they brought Robin Williams back to voice the genie, my pants will be on unending stain.

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't happen, if I remember correctly Robin Williams has had all kinds of disputes with Disney. Can't find a source though, but iirc he vowed never to work with them again.

    Did you just say "dammit"?

Also, we don't need real guitars now, we can bypass all the effort and get straight to simulating being a rock star by just pressing some plastic buttons.

Same goes for not needing memories because we have wikipedia, not needing to leave the house to socialise because we have facebook, and not needing to look out the window to see what the weather is like because I have forecastfox.

Either that or it's just a fun game.

    This game sounds like trash.

But the fact that it's Disney and that they're advertising "alternative music" means that there might be a They Might Be Giants song.
