Media Vs. Attendee [khoo]

I've option of either pass, I'm a freelance writer for www.nintendoinsider.com]Nintendo Insider, so I could take that.

Or I could just go for the regular attendee pass, and try my luck at getting a chance in The Omegathon.

Baisically, what I'm asking is are there any advantages to the media pass besides free registration? Are there any plusses(i.e. press room etc.) of any kind?

I'm just wondering because this will be my first(and last) PAX, and no matter how small the chance at the Omegathon is, it's worth paying for the pass as opposed to getting one free.

    Why do you say "first(and last) PAX"?

    Never coming back? Even if it goes on for like...ten more years?

    Maybe, but a little over a week after this year's PAX, I ship out to Navy boot camp, and then I'll be pretty much booked solid for the next four years. XP

    Well atleast this year I had CES in january, I get E3 in May(or whenever they're holding it), and PAX in August.

    Media registration doesn't have too many more perks- the key is the distinction to the exhibitors if in fact you are trying to write a story.
