Lock this if we have already had this recently, I don't think so, but I may be wrong...
I know I regret selling quite a few games to places like EB games and Gamestop.
I've also lost a few.
I've let 'friends' borrow some, which i never got back.
One broke.
One game's servers went down, so now the multiplayer doesn't work.
Which games do you miss?
First and foremost I sold LoZ: Wind Waker before I finished it, because I was an idiot and got stuck in that mirror fortress thing. I loved that game so much, and yet I sold it towards Beyond Good and Evil. BGandE was a solid game, but I still miss it.
Now, I also lost BGE after beating it. I really miss it, because I like it so much, and I want to play it again.
I miss Metal Gear Solid 3, mostly because I rented it and didn't buy it.

I let my mom sell our Intellivision 2 with 2 controllers and about 30+ games.
In a yard sale.
For 15 dollars.
I suspect we will see many stories like this.
I lost my SNES similarly(when I got my N64, my parents made me give the SNES to my cousins).
I later reacquired an SNES, and every game I used to own for it except for Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose, so the story ends on a happy note. My power cable is shot, though, and I need to get a new one.
I own it and still have a disc for it, but the game got its bits snipped off when Bungie got bought out by Microsoft and subsequently shut down Bungie.NET support for their old games.
Servers still exist for it, but there's usually no one there. It's a far cry from the golden days of Myth, when thousands of people could be found at any given time.
I also miss Earthbound. They need to bring it over on the Virtual Console, stat.
Complete with blowing in your cartridges, damaging them in the long term.
i made the mistake of letting a friend play with MY controller and now it's in two pieces.
Xbox : gunst4r
Thanks to the magic of expired patents, they don't need to.
Earthbound- Borrowed it form a friend, only got to Summers before he wanted it back.
My entire N64 and Genesis collection- Okay, so my mom used to know this blind guy, name was Joseph. He was having some hard times, so since we have two extra bedrooms, she offered to let him and his two kids live with us for a while while he got himself together. His kids were somewhere in the 10-12 range, a boy and a girl. Long story short, the guy was a dick and a mooch (and his blindness was starting to be called into question), and after my parents got sick of being taken advantage of, they decided to kick him out. The boy, Anthony, had made himself quite at home with my stuff, and through a fucking tantrum that he wasn't going to be able to take any of my games with him. To calm him down, my mom made me give him my N64 and Genesis, telling me that his dad probably wouldn't ever bother getting him anything nice. She was more or less right about that, and normally, I really wouldn't have minded it, except the kid was just as much of an ungrateful little shit as his dad. He probably broke both of them within a week of leaving.
I still get a hankerin' for the Banjo games every now and then, darnit.

...but last time I went to visit my parents, I found that the keyboard and disk drives I need to get my Apple II running had been tossed. No more Lode Runner for me
This.

Way of the Samurai 2. It's sorta' like Yojimbo. Not enough like it, but sorta'.
Also, my copy of the first Xenosaga disappeared one day. I've got the case and the manual and everything, but the disc is gone.
Steam id: skoot LoL id: skoot
Man. I got stuck right at the beginning of the second disk (a save game I went back to after forgetting the story.. O_o) and gave up on it, thinking that I'd go back some other time. I've now lost my disks and since I have the soundtrack to the game on regular play, tears of regret fall into my coffee every morning.
Oh what a shameful shame.
Now comes the question if I'll actually buy it again...I love it, but it's extremely hard to spend money on a game I've already played.
I miss my Rogue, I miss my Shaman. I miss shanking Horde and healing friends. I miss adventuring with my buddies in Warcraft. I'd love to go hang out with them again, but the truth is that game will grab me and suck me in for another three years.
In one way, that's the definition of an awesome game. On the other hand...
Gabe's sentiments and expression in the third panel. That's the other hand, and it's accurate.
That and my 3DO, I dunno what it was about playing Cannon Fodder on that shit but I miss it.
i wish i enjoyed games now as much as i used to enjoy games such as final fantasy 9 (i will defend this game with my life)
And they're still playing it now. I imagine they'll quit again eventually, then immediately get dragged back in as soon as the expansion hits.
I personally played it a whole bunch, got to level 50ish on one character and 20ish on a bunch of alts, slowly lost interest, and quit the game without regretting any of the time I spent on it. That's probably the best possible way to handle stuff like that. I'm thinking about getting back into it at some point, but...nah.
Agreed. I also miss Secret of Mana. Deeply. Why does Square insist on fucking up the Mana games these days?
I'd sell my first born for a remake of BB or hell even a straight port in all its blocky glory.
I have this same sentiment concerning fire emblem games
the ones on the game boys were fucking AMAZING
the ones on the consoles i would say are subpar
does anyone agree
I don't even remember what I traded my 64 and my games for, all I know is that their gone:(
Hi5! FF9 rocked.
I kinda agree that it's not so much that I miss any games in particular as much as I miss the feeling of enjoying them like I use to when everything felt new and awesome. Maybe I'm gettin old
I also miss playing Jedi Acadamy online, the SP was corny but man online was fun I still have never played a game since JA that required so much pure skill to be good at and not just investing a shitton of time in.
Super Scope and Battle Clash - pawned them like an idiot.
R.O.B. - Mom short circuited it when she watered plants above it.
Mario Paint mouse and pad that i lost. I still have the game at least.
Tribes 2 - The multiplayer community used to be great with a lot of servers. I still own 3 copies but nowadays it's just Katabatic all day.
My DREAMCAST!!!
I let my brother sell it, and all of the badass games that I had, for an Xbox. An Xbox that I never got to play, because he lived in another house. And his horrible bitch of a girlfriend took the Xbox when they broke up. I'll never see my Dreamcast again.
I miss you, Legacy of Cain: Soul Reaver, Marvel Vs. Capcom, Quake 3, Sonic, Powerstone, NBA 2K, Soul Caliber... I miss you all!
I miss my VMU.
Also, my Game Boy Colour games. Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, whyyyyyyyy
Man, that was a sick game. I played that so much as a kid.
Bought it used for $40. Let a friend borrow it. He gave it to another person without me knowing, who lost it.
I'm still a little bitter over this.
Electronic composer for hire.
