Pokemon used to be kind of silly. I'd test how good a deck was by seeing if I could consistently draw my entire deck on the first turn. It's too easy to be a classic.
DBZ is an incredible game with amazing mechanics that was ruined by amazingly retarded play testers and designers. People (used to) bitch about Magic errata, and Magic is nothing compared to the contortions and bullshit that the DBZ retards forced teh game to go through.
Netrunner was released at the same time as one of the most popular Magic expansions, so it sadly never stood a chance. Amazing mechanics, two sides that function very differently. One player is the corporation, the other is the hacker. If there were more cards, I could see myself liking it more than Magic.

Well, we'd kinda had this discussion a few months back, but I think the consensus is that the stereotypical fanbase of pretty much everything is annoying and scary, not just nerdy things, but even music groups and stuff. I mean, if you went by MTV, you'd think that all Tori Amos fans were obese goth chicks.
