In other news, that might be bad for Clinton, Ferraro fires back.
"Any time anybody does anything that in any way pulls this campaign down and says let's address reality and the problems we're facing in this world, you're accused of being racist, so you have to shut up," Ferraro said. "Racism works in two different directions. I really think they're attacking me because I'm white. How's that?"

Politically it kind of pays off for Hillary for an establishment white female, who denies being racist, to actively race bait Obama. It makes all the stupid white people feel justified in asking "I'm not racist, but what's the deal with this black guy? huh?"

It's sort of like people who say "I'm not racist, I was just raised to call them 'n*****' and I don't see why I should change. I'm not racist."

Early Mississippi exit polling shows that Clinton supporters in Mississippi do not like Barack Obama.
72% of Clinton voters would be unsatisfied if Obama is the Democratic nominee.

Obama wins the young and (barely) loses the old:
65 years of age and older: Clinton 56%, Obama 44%
17-29 years of age: Obama 67%, Clinton 32%

    Mississippian's like the dual ticket...
Six in 10 Obama voters said he should pick Clinton for vice president if he wins the nomination; four in 10 Clinton voters said she should pick Obama as her running mate if she wins.

...but think Obama is more qualified.
53% felt Obama is more qualified to be commander-in-chief, 43% felt Clinton was more qualified to be commander-in-chief

On the plus side, the fact Ferraro is a goddam moron and has decide to shoot her mouth of now not only gives Obama a boost (he sacked his top foreign policy aid for speaking out of turn and immediately apologizing, Clinton plans to do these things and her people truly stand by them) it gives the Obama campaign a chance to openly address this now.

Either make your case that she's an idiot nicely and try and turn the people that feel that way, or let the media tear her apart and hope to shame some people into dropping their idiotic ideas in this specific case and accept anyone that won't wasn't coming to you anyway.

I know that, in my Japanese class at college, there this older woman taking the course. I heard the tail end of a conversation a few weeks back where she mentioned that if Obama gets the nom, she'll vote for McCain.

I think it might be the factor of "he's too young and inexperienced and I want an old person because old = EXPERIENCE!" Though I can't imagine why you would make that decision with McCain being the other option.

People always say "if my candidate doesn't get the nomination, I'll vote for the other party," but as far as I can tell, nobody ever does. They will either:

    1) Vocally plan on voting for the other party, get into the voting booth, and realize "hey shit the other party kind of sucks" and vote for their party's candidate
    2) not vote

In my own case, I am looking for a few specific things that Obama has said he would do with the office, that Clinton will not. These things are very very important to me. More important than healthcare reform at this point in time.

It is crucial to my own interests that Obama get the office, not because of his personality cult or rhetoric, but his policy. I cannot vote for Clinton for those very reasons.
