The 2nd Annual Team Fortress 2 (PC) Tournament
What is it?
This is a tournament for Team Fortress 2 on the PC. Teams will be 9 vs. 9 and will compete in Gravel Pit, Well (CP), Dustbowl, and Granary.
When is it?
The weekend after this one is when the first round begins. Hopefully it will be done within that weekend
Rules:
+ Nine (9) members + one (1) alternate per team [alternate is optional, but we have enough maybes to pull it off I think]
+ All teams will be restricted to no more than two (2) players using the same class
+ Crits will be turned off
+ Respawn times will be set to the default settings for each map
+ Should one of your teammates not be available, use your alternate. If you do not have an alternate, you will play shorthanded. Teams with less than six (6) players available at agreed time for match must request rescheduling with opponent. If no agreement can be reached for new match time, that team forfeits.
+ Autobalance will, of course, be turned off. If one of your team drops from the match, only that teammate can rejoin. You may not have another teammate/your alternate step in.
cp_dustbowl
Both teams will attack and defend twice. The team with the most points after 4 rounds wins. There is no time limit for this map.
* The stopwatch format will be used to score the last section of each round on this map. Each round, both teams will have the opportunity to attack and defend. If both teams are able to successfully capture all the points, the round will be given to the team who captures the last section of double control points the fastest. Teams should take a screenshot of the time remaining on the clock at the time of the last capture. The attacking team with the most time left on the clock at the end of the round wins.
cp_gravelpit
Both teams will attack and defend twice. The team with the most points after 6 rounds wins. There is no time limit for this map.
* The stopwatch format will be used to score this map. Each round, both teams will have the opportunity to attack and defend. If both teams are able to successfully capture all the points, the round will be given to the team who does so in the least amount of time. cp_well & cp_granary
Play to 3 points or 30 minutes and switch sides. First team to 4 points wins the match or highest score after 60 minutes.

FIRST POST WOO
NO CRITS
2 OF EACH CLASS
GOGOGOGOGOG
ENDERS IS A HEAVY OR A SOLDIER THNKS
So lets get this going, peoples!
Best classes are probably Medic and Heavy. Can make a decent Pyro and a passable Soldier in a pinch.
EDIT: Although you guys are going to have to clear up the times, I can't really be certain as to how capable I'll be of joining in until those are up.
And will I be eligible considering I have at least 3 weeks of plaster cast to go on my arm.
You can watch I guess
How good are your Foot based sniping skills?
soldier/spy/heavy
Top 3 classes: Demo, Scout, Soldier
I also think everyone likes the 9v9 thing so far, so I'd prob write that in stone.
Or tyrannus' or racoon's...
I could keep going here is what I'm saying.
Oh, what the hell, you got subedii's right? but not me!?
RULE 1) NO MEDICS ON ENDERS TEAM
RULE 2) NO CRITS FOR TYRANNUS
RULE 3) ZOTS TEAM GETS A 100% CRIT RATE
I'm down
Watching. Silently judging their exploits, their pitiful attempts to succeed. Laughing at them from my ivory tower of doom gazing down at all I observe with utter contempt.
color commentary, ya don't need two hands to yell into a mic about how awesome I am
Anyway, I'm available to play on fridays and saturdays, between 12 and 6 PM CST. Maybe 7 PM if I can play while half asleep. Best classes: I dunno, I'll have to think about that one.
Anyways, ChellianNation is my login name, I assume thats the one you need?
3ds friend code: 2981-6032-4118
Should that read 4 rounds (both teams attack and defend twice)?
And, Personally I think first to 5... unless you guys want the quick finish if one team is getting rolled. I'd like a chance to come back.
Overall rules:
I'd be willing to play without CRITS I guess... it seems the pro-crit camp is in the minority.
2 person a class cap would make for much more straight forward game, and maybe that's what you guys are really getting at with the whole 'no crits'. But, allowing 3, 4, or no cap would make for a couple crazy matches here and there (if a teams getting stomped they're going to try something crazy). I think of TF2 as more of an arcade-ish fps; but, considering the tournament setting a cap may be more appropriate... I may be talking to myself at this point, or talking myself in to it.
Anyways if you'll allow me I'm down. My steamID is Ricky Freeman, my best classes are Soldier/Heavy/Sniper.
Yes.
Also, my name is japong on steam, and I play a pyro.
you're HimsA?
but mostly demo.
it's easy to get past spawn camping. it's also a legit part of the game.
most of all, most of all
someone said true love was dead
but i'm bound to fall
