This request for advice isn't too serious, but I need collective wisdom nonetheless.
I have an assload of DS games to play, and I can't make a decision. I keep starting one, playing for a two minutes, and switching games. This has been going on for a few months. I had a brief respite when I got Days of Ruin, but I finished it and need to move on now.
Here are my choices:
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time
New Super Mario Brothers
Luminous Arc
Rune Factory
DQ Monsters: Joker
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Shiren the Wanderer
Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Etrian Odyssey
I keep buying new games when they come out. This is part of my problem.
Castlevania is real easy to burn through unless you like having every possible ending and every possible item. So is new super mario brothers. I think I knocked both of those games out in a day each.
Zelda. It's addictive, puzzle tastic and uses so many great aspects of the DS, including the mic, touch screen and even opening and closing the console! It's great.
Dragon Sword, I just finished playing it, and it really is awesome. The controls are intuitive and the game is really easy to pick up and play. My only gripe with it is that the move list is kinda small compared to other Ninja Gaiden games.
It also looks absolutely gorgeous for a DS game.

I'm told Shiren is a pretty un-fun game considering it's "I hate you" death system. I thought Zelda was ok, but far too easy. Castlevania is a solid choice. I'd probably play DrSw, though.
Rune factory is fun but it doesn't really "end". If you are short on time but want to make sure you get some play time, I suggest playing until you get to these milestones (in order of how long they might take):
1. Upgrade the house
3. Get married to a simple lady
2. Clear all the caves
4. Get married to one of the more difficult ones.
