Yeah but they are also halfway across the universe with little to no hope of ever returning. Also people getting killed while you are stuck on a ship with the person who killed them maybe is kind of scary
I just finished watching season one of Atlantis last night. I definitely felt the series got off to a slow start and I'm largely indifferent about some of the main characters, but by the end of the season I was admittedly pretty interested in seeing how season 2 resolves the cliffhanger ending.

I ran through it all recently after doing all 10 seasons of SG1 just before. The only real downside to it is it does copy some of the basic story elements of SG1 but overall it's pretty entertaining if you want a campy sci-fi show.
I'm getting toward the end of season 3 of Atlantis and overall I don't enjoy it as much as SG1. The main characters have grown on me more but it's also sad that (to me) McKay is the most interesting main character.
At least they finally killed off
Kolya
I was getting really tired of stories involving him.
Hell, I'm tired of the Genii. Also the episode with the "whales" warning them about the solar flare was dumb.
Atlantis picked up pretty well, I thought. still hated the
Ancient Replicators storyline
especially how it ended. but I was really glad when it did
It didnt really end..
Remember RepliWeir showed up after the planet was destroyed with a bunch of other replicators, saying something about completing their plans uninterupted now or something.
there was an episode after that where they showed up again, and sort of tied things up
it was dumb how they did it, I thought
RepliWeir and crew "ascended" to hyperspace or whatever stargate calls it. not the level of the Ancients, but just where ships go when they go FTL. apparently it was like torture, so they come back somehow and tried to get Atlantis to let them use some Atlantis tech so they could transfer their consciousnesses into fabricated organic human bodies. Atlantis agrees as long as they're contained in force field or something, but a Replicator goes rogue. Atlantis folks kill him, and then are all, WE CAN'T TRUST THEM (even though they'd fixed the problem with containing the others and the others weren't involved anyway). Atlantis convinces RepliWeir to lead the other Replicators to another planet under the guise of letting them continue their research somewhere else, but it was actually just a Stargate in the middle of an asteroid field

I kinda liked the
rogue Asgard
and wished we'd gotten another season if only to see more of them

yeesss.
Is the new episode out on hulu yet? I'm going to go to hulu right now to find out
This was a good episode but all the intrigue is making me sad.
I was thinking the same thing. You're all trying to survive and get off the ship, stop with that bullshit

Also even with Rush killing the Alien I was still suspecting that he was working with the aliens most of the episode.. not so much anymore but at least the end of the episode confirmed that he is up to something

I was disappointed with most of the first episode back. The second wasn't so bad, though. Once more, Young tries to swing his balls around. Once more, Eli makes a snap decision in a desperate situation and proves he's probably the smartest guy on the ship. Once more, Rush turns out to be right.

I wish Warehouse 13 would come back sooner than July. I know some people really don't like it but I do!
Also Psych needs to come back even though the season just ended
I also wish warehouse 13 would come back sooner Artreus

Lt. McBland has continued to spiral into mediocrity though
All they've done is put the ship in danger since day one
IOA lady? sure
give Elli some time he'll figure it out.
Rush is a self centered prick
Also, damn, didn't really think they'd actually not get back.
Hey lets go jump around random gates going god only knows where when destiny is gonna look for us at their next stop.
that is bestest idea.
