    Cat always did a good job of keeping people in line, I'll miss her as a mod.

    Plus she said I was awesome, one time, honest. 'Course she bit my head off later on in a different thread for something dumb I said but, that's how it goes.

    Can I just say, not to dampen the mood, that I know some people are going to see this as open season to take out their grudges on The Cat now that she doesn't have mod powers and I am going to become personally invested in the discomfiture of people who do so.

    Not to disparage our remaining mods at all, but I just want to say that I always felt that The Cat did a great job here - especially when we're talking about a community with such a huge male presence, it was always good to know that people would always be challenged for their bullshit. I hope (and have no doubt) that won't change even if she isn't a mod anymore :D

    I'm only a sporadic D&D poster so what do I know, but I often got the impression that The Cat's mod responsibilities kept her from being quite as brutally frank as she wanted to be. I hope she keeps posting.

    The Cat did a great job as moderator, was extremely invested and conscientious, and - probably exactly because of some of the controversies - her perspective was central in shaping our forum into what it is today.

    So thanks, The Cat, and three cheers. We'll miss you as mod.

    Cat was pretty lenient with me, too. She had a few opportunities I'm sure to infract me for very dry humor, and she just gave a gentle tap coupled with a stern look and that was that, and I stopped, 'cause I respected that.

    However, I did manage to piss of basically people with E-names.
