So I get up this morning for PT, start getting some water. And I feel the building shake. I thought maybe it was a really, really bad storm. Turns out it was an earthquake. Holy crap. I mean I grew up in Alaska, we had them there all the time, but this is freaking Bloomington, IN.
So, anybody else feel the worlds smallest earthquake?
Alt topic: Strange as hell weather/geological events.

Whoa, another Alaskan? High-fucking-five man. I'm moving to Indiana somewhere around September, to Monticello. How's it like during winter down there?
I don't think I've felt an earthquake here in Anchorage in awhile. They were awesome when I was going to Bartlett. School was constructed specifically to withstand earthquakes, so it was like both halves were built leaning on one another so it'd take a lot to bring the thing down. Was really weird whenever it shook, but whatever.
Earthquakes are entertaining, as long as they're not the really violent ones.
Just sittin' there, reading a book or watching tv then Hey why is everything swaying back and forth oh god wait, okay its over then two minutes later a smaller version happens again.
I remember the last time a volcano got uppity here. I thought it was snow so I went to play in the ash. Man, my grandmother was pissed when she found me trying to catch it on my tongue and making dirty ashangels.

Dude I remember that year! It was just raining ash for a week in Fairbanks, and compacted with the rampant forest fires - you couldn't see your hand in front of your face when you were outside.
Totally surreal summer dude.
That shit was fucking crazy

You ever try and draw Falcor as a giant dong? No? It just ends up looking like a long cyclops.

Anytime an earthquake hits, I silently contemplate what it would like to be a female at that moment.

Lamest ever. I miss snow. Here we get a couple of inches of snow/ice and everything in the city shuts down. (depends on how far north in the city you are actually.) A couple of feet of snow is fucking world shattering news, and it melts within the week.

I am only 20 and I think I remember that. I can never fucking remember the name.. was it mount redoubt? I was in anchorage at the time, I remember taking the bridge across.. god damn it was so long ago.. cook inlet? or something nearby and seeing the volcano all spewing things. It is by far my coolest experience..
basically I am the only one I know who has seen a volcano (well.. not the only one but one of the few)

Haha, I'm 22 and can really only remember my grandma yelling at me from the porch to get the fuck inside. I thought it was Mt. Spurr. Yeah, just looked it up, Mt. Spurr, August '92, dumped 3mm on Anchorage. That was an interesting day.

and I was like SERVES YOU RIGHT
also I live in Alabama, so strange weather isn't really an issue, just consistent shitty weather.
i slept through it, nothing in my room even moved
then moved back in its original spot
you didn't know, you were sleeping!
I thought it was a party upstairs, but there was no noise and its 5 in the morning.
Did I just experience an earthquake?
AND LIVE TO TELL!
What really got hit then?
there have been tremors that people have asked me about, but i'm like "lol what earthquake?"
and then sometimes i think i feel them but it's either my imagination or something terribly wrong with my body because no one else does
yeah, you're right, that would be pretty cool too

as long as i was in an open field and could just feel the ground shake and no chance of being crushed by falling debris
Yeah, felt it this morning. It was odd, me being all, "Am... am I shaking? I think I am. Unsettling."
at the time i thought it was a train or something because hey
its fucking illinois
